Coco abruptly stood up from her seat, dropping her wooden utensils on her plate.
"Fuck." Coco cursed under her breath when she saw the tears streaming down on Ruby's cheeks, "Please don't cry— I didn't mean to make you cry."
She was about to get off her chair and round the table to console the crying woman, but Coco stopped when Ruby simply shook her head and shot a happy smile her way.
"I'm not crying because you hurt me." Ruby let out a laugh out of her mouth, "I was moved by your kindness."
"Are.. Are you sure?" Coco asked, her eyebrows furrowed in worry and confusion as she slowly sunk down to her chair, "I'm really sorry, I didn't know that it would make you cry. Making a woman cry was not on my list."
Ruby merely let out another cheerful laugh. "I promise that I'm okay. This is tears of joy, madam."
Coco bit her tongue and continued to stare at Ruby, the worry evident in her face and it only made the woman release another cheerful laugh.
