Elven Kingdom – Royal Court Hall
The high ceiling of white marble shimmered with magical runes, light filtering through crystalline glass like the morning sun in a sacred grove.
But today, the throne room was heavy with silence.
Seated on his intricately-carved throne of silverwood and vine, King Elendor of the Elven Kingdom scowled, his golden brows furrowed in disbelief.
"What did you just say…?"
The royal attendant stepped forward cautiously.
"Y-Your Highness… the heroes we summoned…"
He paused, visibly swallowing.
"…they returned to the capital… but they… refuse to speak. They've locked themselves away in the temple quarters. Refuse quests. Refuse visitors. They—"
"Enough." the king snapped.
His voice echoed through the sacred hall.
"They are the pride of our kingdom. Chosen from another world, gifted with power beyond our own. And now you're telling me… they're… broken?"
The attendant lowered his head.
