Rose Adrian stood still in the clearing at the apex of the Primal Neon Tower.
The skies above her were a mesmerizing canvas of blue mist and swirling silver clouds, all reflected in the endless ocean of the Sea of Thalassara that hovered in defiance of gravity.
Crystalline bridges wound around the Tower's peak, spiraling downward toward the lush, bioluminescent forest that clung to the slopes in the distance, thick with ancient, life-laden trees whose leaves shimmered in hues unseen in the natural world.
But it was not the Sea above, nor the primeval beauty around her, that held her attention.
It was the twin thrones.
One crystalline gold, resplendent and bright like captured sunlight, standing tall with arms shaped like phoenix wings and carved from solid, evolving Primordial Crystals. It pulsed faintly as if alive, the golden crystal refracting the ambient light into dazzling shards across the polished silver stone of the tower's floor.
