Monday passed quickly, with no apparent problems.
Now, almost 9 PM, Theo, Nayun, and Cappie were leaning against the headboard of the bed, choosing a movie to watch.
Theo, with Nayun seated close to him, lightly squeezed her thigh under the blanket and asked.
"What was all that today? What's with you kidnapping Yeonha and Hazuki?"
"Hehe! Wait and see."
Nayun smiled with that mischievous glint in her eyes that Theo knew so well. It was the same look she had when she was planning something, usually something that would surprise him, for better or worse.
"That's not an answer."
Theo insisted, his fingers tracing lazy circles on her thigh.
"You practically dragged both of them out of my sight. Hazuki looked like a scared deer."
Cappie, who was on Theo's other side, let out a short laugh as she scrolled through an endless list of movies on the holographic screen.
Cappie interrupted, her tone sounding more exasperated than playful this time. She looked at them helplessly.
"You two called me here to watch a movie, and now, here you are, practically making out in front of me."
Nayun laughed, gently disentangling herself from Theo.
"Of course... I'll help you now..."
She said as she got out of bed. With the movement, the blanket that partially covered her slipped aside, revealing the clothes she was wearing underneath. Or rather, the lack thereof.
'This girl...' Cappie thought, her eyes wide in disbelief.
And it was no wonder. Nayun stood there, by the bed in the soft room light, wearing only a delicate black lace bra and panties set. She seemed completely at ease, oblivious to Cappie's shock.
Theo merely smirked, appreciating the view without surprise. He was already used to Nayun's lack of modesty when they were alone... or almost alone, in this case.
Cappie, on the other hand, seemed to have frozen, her finger hovering over the holographic screen, the movie search completely forgotten. Her expression was a comical mix of shock and embarrassment.
Nayun stretched her arms above her head, arching like a satisfied cat, before turning to Cappie with an innocent smile.
"So, what do we have there? Anything good?"
Cappie blinked, trying to regain her composure. She looked at Nayun, then quickly darted her gaze to Theo, expecting some intervention or comment from him about the... situation. But, to her growing shock, Theo simply shrugged with an amused smile, clearly not caring one bit about Nayun's partial nudity in front of her.
'He really doesn't care?!'
Cappie felt her face heat up.
"Sigh!"
Sighing heavily, almost defeated, Cappie turned her attention back to the holographic screen, deciding that ignoring was the best strategy. She showed Nayun some of the movies she had favorited.
"Hmm. I think this one, Mita... It's well-rated."
Nayun commented, leaning closer to see better. She stretched out her finger and, with a mischievous glint in her eyes, tapped a specific title:
"Fifty Shades of Grey."
Cappie almost jumped back.
"N-no, absolutely not!"
Cappie's voice came out shrill.
"That's for adults... You're still teenagers! Out of the question, totally out!"
She quickly denied, gesticulating frantically at the screen.
Cappie had read the synopsis and seen a small promotional clip; she knew exactly what it was about and the idea of watching that with Theo and a half-naked Nayun was more than her programming (or her sanity) could handle.
"Hahaha! Just kidding!"
Nayun burst into laughter, clearly amused by Cappie's reaction.
"Your face was priceless!"
She lightly patted Mita's shoulder.
Even though Nayun had already crossed some lines that 16-year-old teenagers perhaps shouldn't cross, she still had a tiny bit of common sense, and she knew the nature of girls who easily got embarrassed.
"I know you're shy about these things."
Nayun added with a softer smile.
"Don't worry, we'll pick something more appropriate."
Theo, who was in bed watching the interaction with silent amusement, had to try very hard to hold back the laughter bubbling in his chest.
'Shy?'
Theo almost scoffed internally.
'Does Nayun know the same girl I do?'
He vividly recalled Cappie's previous comments, double entendres, and her peculiar way of flirting disguised as teasing, like that time she replied about taking off her gloves with:
"They do things, you know? Like: things that shouldn't be said to minors."
Yes, she could be momentarily shocked or embarrassed by Nayun's blatant nudity or the suggestion of a movie like "Fifty Shades", but "shy" was the last word he would use. "Dirty-minded" and "provocative" might fit better, despite the facade she sometimes tried to maintain.
'Anyway, they seem to be getting along very well, I don't know what they talked about, but it was apparently something good.'
Theo remembered seeing Nayun and Cappie talking for a good while in the room earlier when he and she returned to the dorm.
He didn't know what they had talked about, nor did he bother to ask at the time, but it was evident that the two had formed some kind of understanding or camaraderie. Perhaps Nayun and she had formed some plot he didn't even know about.
In any case, the dynamic between the two was certainly interesting to watch. On one side, a hothead and loose tongue; on the other, a brilliant and witty girl. How could that not be interesting?
Theo, who had been observing the scene with a discreet smile until then, decided it was time to intervene, or rather, to be useful. Sliding out of bed, he stretched his legs and yawned lazily.
"Alright, time to help too."
He joked, looking at the two.
"Since the movie decision is in good hands, how about some popcorn? Caramelized or salty?"
Theo's question broke the comical tension hanging in the air. Cappie blinked, relieved by the change of subject. She turned to him, a lingering trace of shock still in her eyes, but with a smile beginning to form.
"Hmm, salty, please! And plenty of butter, if it's not too much to ask."
She replied promptly, grateful for the distraction.
Nayun, still with a playful glint in her eyes, thought for a moment.
"I want the caramelized. And don't hold back, Theo."
Theo simply nodded, already heading for the bedroom door.
"Understood! One of each, with the extras you requested. Don't start the movie without me."
He exclaimed, disappearing through the door. The sound of his footsteps briefly echoed before fading, leaving the two girls alone again...
Cappie craned her neck, looking to make sure Theo had really gone to the kitchen. As soon as the sound of his footsteps receded, she turned to Nayun, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.
"...Hey, Nayun! Are you sure this is going to work? What if he finds out?"
Cappie asked, apprehension mingling with excitement in her eyes.
Nayun smiled as she sat back on the bed, pulling the blanket to cover herself partially, but without disguising her confident smile.
"Of course it's going to work, Mita. We just don't talk about this when Theo's around. We'll leave the party planning to Yeonha, and that way, we can avoid him finding out."
Cappie threw herself onto the bed, already imagining Theo being caught by surprise.
"Yes... We'll do something amazing for him... As his host, I'll do my best to help with whatever you need."
A few minutes later, the buttery scent of salty popcorn and the sweet aroma of caramelized popcorn began to fill the room, announcing Theo's return. He entered balancing two large bowls and three cans of soda.
"Mission accomplished."
He announced, carefully handing them the popcorn bowls and distributing the soda cans.
"Salty popcorn with extra butter for Miss Cappie, and caramelized without moderation for Miss Nayun."
Nayun took her bowl with a satisfied smile, already grabbing a handful before even settling back into bed. Cappie also took hers, her gaze still a little suspicious towards Nayun, but the prospect of buttery popcorn seemed to outweigh any residual embarrassment.
"So, what was the final verdict?"
Theo asked, sitting between the two again and grabbing his soda can.
"Interstellar, Nayun said it's very good."
Cappie replied, her mouth already full of popcorn.
"It seemed like a safe and epic choice."
"Good choice."
Theo agreed, tapping his smartwatch.
"Ready?"
The room lights dimmed automatically as Theo pressed play.
Nayun snuggled comfortably against his side, seeking his warmth.
Cappie, on the other side, initially focused on the popcorn and the screen, gradually relaxed as well.
As the movie progressed and the vastness of space filled the screen, she, almost without realizing it, also leaned in, seeking the comfort of Theo's presence, her head eventually finding a spot on his shoulder. Now with a girl nestled on each side, Theo began to enjoy the movie in the best way.
Hans Zimmer's grand theme music filled the room, and the holographic screen came alive with the initial images of the film.
A comfortable silence settled between them, broken only by the sound of chewing and occasional sighs or comments about the movie...
