As Silvanus had anticipated, Silas indeed led him to the village chief's house.
Like the other houses in the village, the chief's home was now in ruins. The scorched mud had hardened and shattered into pieces on the ground, exposing the inside of the house.
At first glance, everything appeared normal. Silvanus took in the entire layout of the not-so-large house with a single sweep of his eyes.
He wondered where the mechanism leading to the underground basement was hidden. But just then, Silas suddenly moved. He walked to the center of the house, narrowed his eyes at Silvanus, and asked, "Are you ready?"
Silvanus frowned slightly, but before he could say anything, Silas suddenly lifted one leg and stomped it hard onto the ground. Cracks instantly spread across the floor, radiating outward from the point of impact!
"Crack! Boom boom boom!"
