Rhodes rolled his eyes: are you asking if I have a way to deal with those three chapters, or how to make more troops?
If it's about mass-production, You are the best at it—Ultramar has deep resources.
But for me, I've only been here maybe a year.
Come on! Being able to raise a force of over 500,000 is already impressive!
"The Blood Angels' homeworld, Baal, is under attack by Tyranids. Even if they win, it won't be much better than what Ultramar suffered during the Tyranid invasion.
Their numbers will plummet, so if you bring the new recruits, they'll likely accept them," Rhodes said, stroking his chin.
Rhodes had considered sending a team to Baal to score some points—the Tyranids there were a real main force.
The Battle of Baal is raging!
But after the Great Rift opened, time flows differently there. Unless he maxes out his psychic powers, maybe he can do something.
"As for the other two founding chapters, my advice is to just ignore them. When they see the power of the new Astartes and realize they'll be left behind, they'll come around. No need to waste time arguing or dealing with them," Rhodes said.
If the Lion returns, the Dark Angels will be easier, but that's a century away!
As for the Space Wolves, when they can't cope, I'll step in.
"Baal is under siege?
Are the Tyranids a new Xenos species? Tigrus mentioned them to me—they sound extremely dangerous," Guilliman nodded.
"Dangerous? Dangerous doesn't cover it. They're ultra-dangerous—they could destroy the entire galaxy," Rhodes said.
The Tyranid threat is far beyond Necrons, Orks, or even Chaos. Humanity can deal with those, but the Tyranids truly bring the Imperium to the brink.
The Great Devourer is recognized as an equal, even superior, threat to the four Chaos Gods.
Their main forces have never even reached Imperial space—just advanced forces have brought every species in the galaxy to its knees.
During the Plague War, humanity could still defeat Nurgle's forces.
In the Psychic Awakening, they could fight the Necrons—but only against the Tyranids did they truly feel despair, even being pushed to Terra itself.
Tyranids are the true nightmare of the galaxy and were the first enemy Rhodes fought after arriving in the Warhammer universe. Though he gave them a hard time, the Tyranids only hold off because fighting him is pointless until they find a way to counter him.
Rhodes is sure the Tyranids are studying him. They're not ones to take a loss lightly; against Chaos Daemons, they even formed a Kronos fleet just to target them.
That fleet did nothing but hunt Daemons, relying on the main fleet for logistics.
Rhodes guarantees the Tyranids will form a force just for him—just not enough encounters yet for them to analyze him.
Frankly, if he hadn't transmigrated with his cosmic-monster cheat, the Tyranids destroying the galaxy would just be a matter of time.
Unless the Emperor gets up from the Golden Throne, Rhodes sees no hope for the Imperium against the Tyranids.
Even if all 20 Primarchs returned and reformed their legions, there'd still be no hope.
The Tyranids, not Chaos, are what truly bring despair. Abaddon never intended to exterminate humanity, nor do the Chaos Gods.
The one who wants to destroy all life in the galaxy is the Tyranids—the Great Devourer.
Rhodes never underestimates them. You need new tricks every time—never repeat yourself.
Rhodes explained all this to Guilliman, including the Tyranids' results with just their vanguard forces.
Guilliman listened in shock, breaking into a cold sweat.
If the Tyranids are as terrifying as Rhodes describes, their threat surpasses all other xenos in the galaxy.
"I never imagined! After ten thousand years of sleep, the Imperium faces such a foe… No wonder Father wanted me revived," Guilliman said.
In terms of combat, he was only average among the Primarchs.
But in internal affairs—mobilizing the Imperium's strength, and raising a new army in a short time—only Guilliman could do it!
At this stage, only his return could bring hope to humanity, however slim. Even his resurrection could only delay extinction.
Guilliman looked at Rhodes—maybe this new brother and unseen sister would be his great helpers.
"The galaxy is crawling with threats, so as I said, you can't play political games with the High Lords or the Senate.
You must act decisively—there's no time for nonsense," Rhodes said.
Guilliman nodded. After talking with his new brother, he realized humanity's situation was worse than he'd thought.
And Baal was Sanguinius's homeworld—he had to help. But first, he needed to return to Holy Terra.
"Brother Rhodes, I'll immediately gather my fleet and try to return to Terra. I must see my father, even if he sits on the Golden Throne—I think he'll still speak with me," Guilliman said.
He wanted to discuss some things with the Emperor—about his new brother and sister, and the Imperium's future.
"If you want to meet the Emperor, I can help. I have an Emperor Avatar here," Rhodes said.
If you want to see the Emperor, Rhodes can help. The Avatar can psychically connect with the Emperor, with Rhodes as a relay.
This works for Primarch-level beings. Ordinary mortals' brains can't withstand the Emperor's psychic power.
"Emperor Avatar? What's that?" Guilliman asked, puzzled.
Rhodes smiled and snapped his fingers, and a giant clad in golden armor appeared beside Guilliman.
"Father!!" At first sight, Guilliman cried out.
It looked just like the Emperor during the Great Crusade—just several times larger.
Even the aura was identical!
"Wait! He's still on the Golden Throne! What is this?" Guilliman circled the Avatar and asked Rhodes.
The likeness was uncanny!
If it shrank to five meters tall, he'd call it Father without hesitation.
"This is a bio-weapon I developed. They're incredibly powerful, able to bear the Emperor's psychic might, and deadly in battle.
Each is no weaker than a Primarch—deadlier to daemons," Rhodes said.
Ace Killers, maxed in size and strength and infused with the Emperor's psychic light, are indeed no weaker than Primarchs—and in some ways, even stronger.
Their conversation lasted hours. Outside, Calgar had awakened, kneeling before Rhodes' energy shield, eyes wet with emotion.
"Why not go talk to your son first? He's stubborn as hell. I had to beat him up before—smashed his Terminator armor," Rhodes said.
"I apologize for him, but I must speak with the Emperor first. Afterward, I'll meet my gene-sons," Guilliman said.
The new Ultramarines were strangers to him—it was his first time meeting them.
Rhodes nodded, using his psychic power to build a bridge for Guilliman to converse with the Emperor.
He then left the energy field, leaving Guilliman alone to talk to his father.
