Chapter 113 - Breadbreadbreadbreadbreadbreadbreadbreadbreadbreadbreadbreadbread...

"Holy shit, this changes everything..."

Hearing the old Orc's quiet exclamation, Simon, Lewis, and Duncan stared at the old Orc, their gazes mired with confusion. "What'd you mean 'it changes everything'? All I see is a weird-looking pillar with a ball of blue lightning attached on top..."

Scratching his head, Simon commented on the odd-looking shape of the device, confused at what made it so 'magical'. "What'd you mean you don't get the significance of what the 'Energy Reflector' is!? It's one of the major corners- Oh wait, you don't know about it, riiiiggghhhhttt..."

Smacking his head, he finally realised that no one on this planet possibly knew about the Bureau Of Paranormalities. Damn, I can't say anything due to the Oath, but either way, this is a game-changer...

"Haah... I can't say exactly from where I know this...artifact... is from, but this is one of the most important devices that They had ever built. Capable of wiping out and reducing Realta from existence, they were the pinnacle of what humanity could achieve.

Whether magic or miracles, nothing stood a chance

What we have here is a bastardised version of it, or to be more exact, a very, very, very primitive version of it. Though its design and capabilities are basic in operation, they should help us reduce and eliminate the influence of the Electromagnetic signals that escape from the assembly lines. You're one lucky bastard...

Grinning ear to ear, Duncan began boasting to the others, gleeful that it was his Skill that gave them the answer to their issues.

As they lay dancing in jubilation, they missed the look Titus had when he saw the Dataslate.

What I didn't tell them was that these are usually not known to outsiders. Only those in the Bureau had access to their blueprints, and these primitive ones could only be held by those high on the top.

So who is the Broken One!?

Taking the carriage home, their moods now lighter than ever, they talked about what they would do with the money:

"Man, I could finally purchase all the metals I need to test the best one to build a rocket..."

"But more importantly, don't we need to buy the fuel to go to space?"

"Boys, boys, boys...we're missing the real important stuff: who's gonna build it for us?"

In the last scene, they began quarrelling intensely, culminating to the point where Lewis brought out a retracting claw glove, Simon his hammer, and Duncan, his staff. "That's it! Whoever wins gets it all. On your mar-"

Suddenly, his eyes grew wide

Retreating from the imminent battle, he headed back home, bashing the flimsy door open wide. Only then did the duo realise that they had indeed arrived back at camp. "Huh, what could've set the old cunt off like that...?"

Just as he entered the door, he was met with a group of flour-clad, jam-stacked, sore-backed ladies. But his gaze was not attracted there.

On the table lay a delicate balance of Cikolet, bread and jam, each in its own intricate position. The sticky jam, despite being liquid, was blanketed between the Cikolet and the cake-like base in harmony, with nothing spilling out. The cake-like base bulged at the bottom, protecting the jam with its life. It was...

Divine

Walking slowly to the table, Duncan picked up the completed Jaffa cake, and put it into his mouth. With each bite, the jam oozed out of its Cikolet casing, mixing, churning, until the bitterness harmonised with the tartness and the sweetness of the jam. The cake-like base acted as a catalyst, mashing them all together in harmony, creating something new, something better.

"It's...so...delicious..."

With tears in his eyes, Duncan swallowed it in joy...

Deep in Earasmus, there a large mansion lay. Though alone in the forest, it was not decrepit. Oh no, far from it...

Painted in white, the mansion oozed with elegance, purity, and harmony. Despite being one of the largest mansions in the vicinity, not a single would walk the walls.

Everything lay quiet...

Suddenly, in the largest room at the centre of the mansion, a large thud was heard before a single word was heard being called.

"BREEEEEEEAAAAAAAAADDDDDDD!"
