Chapter 152 - Demonstration Of Assembly Line

Item: Batter Dispenser

Tier: 2

Grade: Perfect

Description: An automatic dispenser that dollops careful doses of battery onto the assembly line. Exactly 10 g of wet batter is ejected from rubber bellows, after which the opening is shut through the newly researched self-sealing mouth. No more wastage of food!

Item: Timed Gearbox

Tier: 2.5

Grade: Excellent

Description: A complex mechanism built from interlocking gears, which allows the system to work in perfect synchrony. This is an essential component to create an industrial assembly chain.

Item: Automatic Mixer

Tier: 2

Grade: Average

Description: Installed with a mechanical-powered Durasteel whisk, the mixer ensures that wet batter is always manufactured in bulk. The Durasteel whisk ensures that there is no corrosion being let into the products, making it safe for consumption. Compared to the traditional sense, this requires no manual labour, and can run continuously 24/7, provided there is a continuous supply of energy

Looking at the Appraisal datasheet, Titus was satisfied with the results their Mechanical Engineer had created. "This is excellent. With a mechanical assembly line, we'll have a continuous supply of Jaffa cakes being produced every hour, provided we have the necessary raw materials in storage that is. Say, what about the refrigeration and packaging? Why don't I see any results for that?"

Despite being pleased at the progress, Titus raised one of the major concerns that still kind of plagued him. Without completing these issues, they won't be able to reach 100% full capacity. Sighing, Lewis scratched his head, before turning his attention back to the old Orc.

"Well, what am I supposed to do!? If I want to make a freezer of sorts, I need to reach at least another tier or two, and for the packaging, don't you know you by now how many calculations are needed to ensure that it goes smoothly!? I'm already swamped by the numbers required to build the rocket, not to mention Simon's getting restless more and more. Brother, let me live!"

Hands frenetic, Lewis released all the pent-up frustration he held within him at Titus. His eyes reddened with fatigue, Lewis nearly collapsed once he finished his tirade.

Though shocked at the youngster's bravado, Titus slowly realised what he said was correct. Ever since they left for Folicia to work on the Treaty issue, Lewis was the one who was single-handedly manning the entire show. Eyes filled with concern, he picked up the young man onto his shoulders, carrying him all the way to his room.

"I suppose, we can say this was a pass..."

Waking early in the morning, Thistle rubbed his puffy eyes, before heading to the bathroom. Changed into his work attire, he headed out, a piece of bread hanging from his mouth. Outside, he could hear hammering and drilling going on, as the others continued building the newer buildings, the ones where they will live from now on.

Eyes filled with determination, he headed onto the large carriage, where he sat down with people just like him. Talking along the way, they expressed how they could not believe that the Silvertree Corporation had hired them, the 'filthy' Beastmen, to work for them.

Thistle was one of the more outspoken ones, for before he joined working for them, he had been a vagabond; begging his way to and from the many travelling cities that popped here and now. He could not even afford to feed his daughter at times, for he was shunned everywhere. Only the bravest and strongest of their warriors were ever respected, loved with adoration

But that all changed when the big boss himself, Duncan Argelam the great, promised that he would build a new factory in Grandem, for his new product. Thistle knew this was his one and only chance, his last chance, to provide a better life for himself...

For his daughter

"Ma-aa-aan, I can't believe that I was selected to be one of the workers to work in the factory. Once I get my first paycheck, I'll buy little Polina her first–"

Just then, the carriage stopped. Realising that they had reached their destination, the crew quickly got off, combing nervously. As Thistle scuttled inside, a large shadow loomed over him. Gazing upwards, he was met with a large sign, a large sign that filled him, and everyone else, with hope.
