Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 The dream that wasn't her's

I should probably sleep now , Tommorow I'll be dealting with Betty Volsky ....

But tonight I'm feeling tired somehow ....

System:Error....

Luna drifted in uneasy slumber, her breath shallow against the silence of the night. Somewhere between the folds of reality and illusion, a dream began to unfold. ....

too vivid, too strange to be random.

She stood in a field washed in twilight, soft wind brushing against her skin like whispered secrets. Before her stood a girl, around fifteen, her face blurred as though hidden behind a veil of smoke. Luna couldn't make out her features, but the presence felt strangely familiar—warm, yet distant, like a memory long buried.

The girl extended a hand, and in it was a book. A worn, crimson-covered novel.

Killing Ravens.

Luna's heart jolted. That title. She knew it. Rose had given her that book. Yes, Rose her best friend.

She could still remember how excited she'd been when she first opened the pages, flipping through the gripping mystery and dark allure of its twisted world.

But something shifted.

The sky began to darken, thick black clouds spiraling above, suffocating the last remnants of light. The air crackled. The faceless girl began to fade, swallowed by shadows.

"No—wait!" Luna cried out, but her voice was soundless in the storm.

Suddenly, everything blurred.

She was no longer in the field. Her body felt cramped confined. Cold metal brushed her back. She realized she was curled inside something… a half-open cobured a glass-like containment unit, maybe? The lid was partly lifted, letting in pale blue light from flickering panels above.

Two figures in white coats stood nearby scientists, researchers. Their voices were muffled through the thick barrier, but their eyes were sharp, scanning the room. Searching.

For her.

Panic surged. Luna , she reminded herself now—didn't want to be found. Not here. Not by them. Her fingers clawed at the side of the pod, but it was as if time stood still. Everything became slower. Heavier.

Then the mist returned.

Dark, oily tendrils of black fog slid through the cracks of the scene, curling around her limbs, wrapping her in silence. Just before it swallowed her whole, a glow pierced the dark Vermillion pendant.

It floated in the void, suspended midair. Blood-red, shaped like a teardrop, and swirling with light like dying stars trapped within. A nebula in a stone. It pulsed as if it had a heartbeat of its own. As if it knew her.

And then

She gasped.

Luna shot upright in bed, her sheets tangled around her legs, heart pounding like a war drum in her chest. Her room was dim, the soft hum of the city outside grounding her in reality. The pendant, the scientists, the faceless girl it was just a dream.

Or was it?

She reached for her neck, half-expecting to feel the weight of that strange pendant.

Nothing.

Only her rapid breathing and the echo of a name she hadn't spoken aloud in weeks:

Sohee.

It's still down now , Isabella must be sleeping...

I want to take a walk outside , Lunas opens that main door ! Creak

Frontyard was big , small garden good enough for a stroll...

She was walking admiring the beauty of nature , cold yet fresh brezze which was making her hairs curl up falling on her cheeks

Her white hairs were shining blonde as if gold in the morning rays of sun Ascending as mighty as it can be ....

She suddenly observed there was someone at the Main entrance gate ....

Luna , hmm what's that , An old begger I guess ....No

It's Betty volsky!!

Luna laughed at her pathetic state ,

She moves towards her ,

Luna , " so , Betty Volsky you find my letter ....

I'm amazed you covered the distance in such a short while...

Chuckle ...

Betty state was ridiculously lousing ...

Betty stood at the iron-wrought main gate, her fists clenched so tightly her nails drew crescent moons of blood into her palms. The wind whipped her dark hair around her face.

Her eyes. fierce, molten with rage

Now, it was Luna's.

Luna expressions became serious....

Her presence did not command attention; it seized it. She was serene, terrifying in her calm, and her eyes glacial and steady locked onto Betty's with the weight of ancient judement....

Betty laughed bitterly, but it was the laugh of someone who knows the end has already begun. "You don't understand what you've done."

"No," Luna replied, stepping forward until her palm loosend up , she opened the gate with her magic , Betty thought it was due to strong winds ...

The sky above them darkened unnaturally, clouds coiling in spirals, heavy with magic. The wind stopped.

The gate. The silence.

And Luna, unshaken.
