Chapter 164 - Chapter 164: Taken into Custody

While calling out to Susan, Stark also immediately used his armor to connect with Alpha One.

Controlling the surrounding cables through his suit, he dragged Thor — who had been battling the endless wave of Herbitron robots heading toward the control center — over to the side.

Trapped by the cables and various metals, Thor asked Stark anxiously, "What are you doing—"

But before he could finish speaking, the metals and machinery had already begun to reassemble around him.

"Using Reed's futuristic technology, along with a little bit of my own special tricks—"

Stark seemed to be explaining to Thor, when suddenly Thor's excited voice rang out.

"Awesome!!"

A surge of immense electricity burst out from Alpha One in an instant, simultaneously blowing up all the aerial motherships around them.

Not a single one escaped.

While Stark was helping Thor, Susan had also managed to break away from her fierce battle against Kang the Conqueror.

"Understood!"

Susan immediately knew why Stark was calling her.

They had previously studied the Infinity Stones and had even attempted to remove them from the Gauntlet.

Although they didn't fully understand what material the Infinity Gauntlet was made from — which made removing the stones extremely difficult — they had discovered that by using energy to separate the stones from the Gauntlet, it was possible to extract them.

Of course, Kang the Conqueror wasn't going to let them do that so easily.

"If you want the Stones, you'll have to get past me first!"Kang floated in midair atop her energy disc, her hands rapidly weaving through the air, unleashing endless energy blasts toward Susan.

At that moment, the recently knocked-out Human Torch regained consciousness.

Perhaps due to the modifications the Creator had made to him earlier, the once vegetative Human Torch had now regained his own consciousness and could move again.

But as soon as he opened his eyes, he saw someone aiming an energy attack at his sister.

This was something the Human Torch absolutely could not accept.

"Don't you dare hurt my sister!"Flames burst from his entire body as he launched fire directly at Kang.

His attack did indeed force Kang to halt momentarily.

However, when the Human Torch caught a clear look at Kang's face, he was momentarily stunned.

Aside from a scar over her left eye, she looked almost identical to the sister he remembered.

What was going on here?

Why was his sister attacking him?

"Jonathan!" Susan shouted loudly at that moment.

Her voice finally drew the Human Torch's gaze to her.

Seeing the familiar Fantastic Four uniform she was wearing, even though he didn't fully understand what had happened, he now knew which one was truly his sister.

The Human Torch immediately rushed to Susan's side, facing off against Kang.

Meanwhile, Thor reappeared before everyone — but he was no longer the same.

He now wore a golden suit of armor and wielded a gleaming golden hammer, his whole body crackling with thunder and lightning.

"If Odin's wrath could not stop them, then Thor's fury shall not fail!"Thor raised his hammer high, surveying the battlefield.

"Let's see what this hammer can really do."

"Thor! A little help here—"Captain America had no time to admire Thor's imposing stance — he was already entangled with a Herbitron robot.

In the next moment, Hawkeye shot an arrow straight through the robot's control core.

During their time imprisoned in the Negative Space Prison, Kang's special treatment had caused Hawkeye to completely lose his superhuman eyesight — he had essentially become blind.

Even so, Hawkeye could still use his bow and arrows to strike directly at the robots' heads.

"Hawkeye! Incoming — that rock monster!"A loud, rough roar drowned out all other sounds, and the next instant, Hawkeye was knocked flying by a giant figure.

It was the Thing, hurled over by Hulk.

And the Hulk himself was now charging straight at them. Perhaps he felt that fighting only the Thing wasn't enough; now he wanted to take on all four at once.

Thor and the others exchanged a glance — no words needed — and immediately launched themselves at the Hulk.

The control center had already descended into utter chaos. Whether it was the battlefield with the Hulk or the battle against Kang, it could be described with just one word: chaos.

Even Bruce and Stark, who were fighting the Creator, were caught in a mess of disorder.

The Creator had already taken on a new, monstrous form — he was no longer even remotely human, not even a typical superhuman.

With no blood vessels and no need for sustenance, he had long since left the realm of normal biological life.

After all, no ordinary living creature could survive in Negative Space for so long, let alone establish his own forces and organization.

The Creator's body had become grotesquely stretched and distorted — something straight out of a horror novel or a collection of supernatural tales, the kind of nightmare figure that would make children cry in fear.

At this point, the Creator seemed less like a mastermind and more like someone who had been pushed to the brink in anger and humiliation.

Bruce gave him no opportunity to catch him — not even a touch.

"Damn it! Are you only capable of running and hiding?"The Creator suddenly expanded his body to an enormous size, practically covering the entire command center.

He hoped to trap Bruce by sheer size, but just as he stretched himself out, Bruce easily escaped beyond his reach.

In the next moment, Bruce spotted something — the stones embedded in the Infinity Gauntlet had started to glow and float upwards, wrapped in a strange energy.

Turning his head, he saw Susan — she was using her powers to forcibly separate the Infinity Stones from the Gauntlet.

Susan was putting everything she had into breaking the bond between the Gauntlet and the Stones. If it weren't for the Human Torch's help earlier, she might have already been completely subdued by Kang by now.

Gritting her teeth, Susan finally managed to tear the Infinity Stones free from the Gauntlet.

And now, the Creator had also realized this.

Conqueror Kang also noticed it. She turned her head and no longer paid attention to the Thunderstrike's attacks. After enveloping herself in a protective shield, she charged straight toward the Infinity Stones beside the Creator.

"You have to listen to me—there's no time left, the apocalypse is coming! Give it to me now. If you use the gloves, everyone will die," Conqueror Kang's tone was urgent, perhaps because in their future, this very event led them to complete destruction.

After all, the Creator's mental state was indeed becoming unstable, and he was starting to lean toward madness.

"No, I am the only one who can control this—" He stretched out his hand, trying to grab the Infinity Stones, but no one gave him that chance.

"Reed, she's right. You're too stupid to understand how to use them," Stark continued to provoke from the sidelines. Reed was on the brink of mental collapse.

"Go to hell, Stark!" At this point, Reed had given up on trying to grab the stones with his hands. He even stuck out his tongue, trying to touch the stones.

His tongue had almost transformed into an infinitely extending grotesque creature, constantly splitting as it reached for each of the Infinity Stones.

But just then, a golden lightning flashed before them all.

It was Bruce.

At that moment, all eight Infinity Stones fell into Bruce's hands.

The Infinity Stones seemed almost conscious, merging into the golden armor Bruce was wearing.

A tremendous power engulfed Bruce in an instant. He could even feel the erosion of that power on his body, but the next moment, that energy was quickly neutralized by the Speed Force.

"This is the first time I've seen such overwhelming power. Ordinary people can't use something like this," Barry Allen, who had researched these things extensively, voiced his opinion.

According to his impression, when such an energy invades the body, the Speed Force would immediately counteract it. However, when the energy from the Infinity Stones flooded in, the Speed Force was squeezed out immediately.

It wasn't just that the Speed Force couldn't resist—it was that all channels were occupied by the energy of the Infinity Stones, leaving no room for the Speed Force to operate.

However, the Speed Force quickly broke through the obstacles and regained the upper hand.

"Now you're done for, Reed Richards!" Stark said excitedly to the Creator, now that Bruce had gathered all the Infinity Stones. He didn't care who among them held the stones in the end.

As long as it wasn't any of the Creator's group, that was enough.

"What's this energy signal?" Stark suddenly detected a powerful and completely unknown energy signal. However, it didn't originate from anyone present.

He had even scanned Bruce's energy but still felt something was off.

Before Bruce could use the Infinity Stones, everyone in the room suddenly felt a massive energy fluctuation.

Bruce could also sense this energy wave through the Infinity Stones, though his reaction was less intense than that of the others.

Suddenly, everyone except for Bruce felt as though they were seeing countless versions of themselves, witnessing numerous potential timelines of the future, and even felt their bodies tearing apart.

Even Hulk, now rolling on the ground clutching his head, was proof of the damage this energy was causing.

Perhaps because Bruce wasn't from this universe, he didn't experience the same sensations, but he could see through the Infinity Stones what everyone else was going through.

It was as if countless versions of themselves from parallel universes were forcefully shoved into their minds.

But Bruce seemed to have experienced this before—weren't the beings in his mind versions of himself from other universes?

Conqueror Kang, feeling all of this, showed no sign of pain, as if she had become accustomed to it. She looked up and saw the Creator, who had returned to his normal human form. She placed her hand on his face.

"It's too late. We've failed."

Hearing Conqueror Kang's words, the Creator, though enduring the pain, responded, "No, there's still time to fix it. We still have the Infinity Gauntlet—"

"It's useless now."

Conqueror Kang stood up and floated into the air.

At this moment, Bruce also sensed a dramatic change in the Infinity Stones embedded in his armor.

The Infinity Stones shattered.

Conqueror Kang looked at all of this, her voice filled with disappointment. "I have to go back to an earlier time and try again. I need to set everything right. I need to save the future—"

As she said this, Conqueror Kang's gaze turned to Susan.

"Susan, if you stay with Ben Grimm, this world is doomed. Do you understand? Reed is the one destined for you."

"I hope you can do better than we did. Goodbye, Ultimate Team." Conqueror Kang's body began to melt like slowly melting ice cream, dissipating in the space. Finally, she looked at Bruce.

"I've never seen you, Bat. Maybe I'll look for you next time."

"I can—" Conqueror Kang's words were left unfinished as she disappeared from Alpha One's command center.

At that moment, Bruce made Barry Allen return to the mental prison. No longer wearing the golden armor, he was now in the familiar black suit.

"Alpha One, shut down the power. Everything." The Creator lay on the ground, the mask he used to conceal his bloated brain slowly faded away.

It revealed a weary face, and tears ran down his cheeks.

"It's over."

At that moment, he was no longer the Creator, but Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic.

"They're all dead. So many died. So many people..." Reed curled into a ball, his eyes filled with fear. It was as if he had seen something unimaginable, and even his speech system was beginning to malfunction.

"You're only starting now." Stark was still planning to taunt Reed.

But in the next moment, Reed raised his head. The fear in his eyes made Stark shut up.

"You don't understand. That energy flow—it's just the beginning. The universe is collapsing. We're heading toward extinction, Stark."

Although the others still didn't trust Reed, everyone could sense that his fear was genuine. He was really worried about what was happening. He had seen things they hadn't.

"No matter what he says, it doesn't excuse what he did before," Monica, now back on the scene, said. As SHIELD's commander, she now had the authority to arrest the Creator.

"So, should we go out for dinner? What do you think, Bat?" Stark put his hands on his hips and turned to look for the Bat, who had shown unparalleled speed in this battle, but there was no sign of the Bat.

"He ran again."
