"This is impossible."Even the Planet Devourer found it hard to believe as he witnessed the Ravager rise once again.
He had never seen any creature capable of standing back up under such circumstances.
But now, the condition of the Ravager left him no choice but to believe it.
In the blink of an eye, the Ravager charged at the Planet Devourer.
Despite being no larger than the Planet Devourer's finger, the Ravager actually managed to knock the massive being backward.
This was far beyond what anyone in the Ultimate Team could have imagined.
Stark looked at the figure currently pressing against the Planet Devourer's waist, trying to push him away from New York City, and for a moment, couldn't wrap his head around it.
"Is that the Bat?" Stark focused his armor's sensors on the Ravager, trying to determine if this being had any connection to the Bat.
But the problem was that the Ravager now showed no resemblance to the Bat in any visible way—it was completely unrecognizable.
Amadeus, on the other hand, looked at the figure and cried out in surprise.
"I knew our world had a Batman, but I never expected we'd also have a Doomsday."Amadeus was clearly excited, the gleam in his eyes suggesting he wanted nothing more than to lay the Ravager on a dissection table and study its physical structure.
Of course, that was just a thought. As someone who dabbled in comics during his spare time, he knew all too well the strength of Doomsday's body.
Even without kryptonite, and perhaps even with it, they might not be able to break through the Ravager's defenses.
"What's Doomsday?"
Jessica, who hadn't read comics before, was clearly unfamiliar with all of this. Even after learning her boss was Batman and diving into his comics, she still didn't have much interest in Superman.
"Simply put, he's an unkillable cockroach. You kill him once, he revives—and becomes immune to whatever killed him."
Amadeus looked at the Ravager in the distance, practically drooling. Though he was a dimensional energy expert, that didn't mean he wasn't fascinated by such a being.
"Then can he beat that guy?"Captain America, ever the realist, wanted to know if this Doomsday Amadeus spoke of could actually defeat the Planet Devourer.
Amadeus shook his head. To be honest, he wasn't sure. These were two entirely unrelated entities—one existed only in comics, while the other had appeared in their reality.
"If Doomsday is given enough time, he might be able to beat the entity. But…"Amadeus shrugged and didn't continue.
Everyone present understood what he left unsaid.
They couldn't possibly give the Ravager that much time to grow. They didn't have that kind of time at all.
"Then should we go help him?"Susan looked at the Ravager, who was fighting the Planet Devourer alone, and couldn't help feeling a bit uneasy.
Whether or not this guy was connected to the Bat, right now the Ravager was fighting for them.
"I'd advise against it. We still don't know if he retains any human rationality. If he doesn't, going over there would just make us targets for indiscriminate attacks."Amadeus was very clear-headed.
Even in the comics, Doomsday's appearance was usually to confront Superman—but his destructive power was never limited to just Superman.
Hearing Amadeus's words, the group let go of their urge to jump in and help. If they went now, they might only add to the Ravager's troubles.
Just then, Captain America and the others spotted a familiar figure in the distance.
It was Colossus from the X-Men.
Clearly, the mutant X-Men had arrived in New York and witnessed the scene unfolding.
They might be planning to deal with the big guy, but under these circumstances, Captain America would never allow them to interfere with the Ravager's battle.
"Susan, I see the X-Men. Send us over."
At Captain America's words, Susan activated the disc beneath him and the rest of the Ultimate Team, teleporting them to the location he indicated.
Meanwhile, the X-Men squad stared blankly at the massive figure locked in combat with another.
"I think we should leave," said Jimmy Hudson, son of Wolverine. Naturally, he had inherited his father's near-invincible healing ability and metal claws.
However, unlike his father, Jimmy's claws weren't made of pure metal—they were coated with a metallic substance secreted by his body.
Nearby, Jean Grey had walked up to their current team leader, Kitty Pryde, and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Kitty, we need to get as far from here as possible."
But Kitty was still stunned by what was happening in New York. She murmured, eyes wide in disbelief,"Why? Why is this happening?"
"We'll figure it out and do what we can, but staying here isn't wise," Jean said. She understood Kitty's feelings, but they truly couldn't intervene in this.
There were only nine of them this time.
And that hulking monster was clearly not something they could handle.
"We can't just stand by and do nothing. This is our city—we have to do something."Kitty pointed at the figure currently charging the Planet Devourer."Maybe he's a mutant too, and our mutant brother is now fighting that big guy."
"I'm glad to hear you say that."Captain America had arrived beside them, drawing the attention of the X-Men team.
"Well, today just keeps getting better and better, huh?"At the sight of Captain America, Jimmy immediately prepared for battle, his claws extended.
"I know you want to help, but you really must not interfere with that fight," Captain America said, shaking his head at the mutant squad.
"But that thing is destroying the city—and it looks like one of our own is with him!"Kitty pointed again at the Ravager who continued to charge the Planet Devourer.
"No, he's not one of your own. More accurately, he's not even from our universe."Amadeus mercilessly shattered Kitty's assumption.
"But—" Kitty wanted to say more, but Captain America raised his hand to stop her.
"Trust us, okay?"Captain America's gaze left Kitty unsure of what to do—whether to trust him or not.
"Well, isn't that just wonderful. Let's go, Kitty."Jimmy, hearing Captain America's words, clapped his hands, retracted his claws, grabbed Kitty's wrist, and was ready to leave.
"Wait."It was Stark who stopped them at that moment.
"We can't place all our hopes on Doomsday. We need a backup plan."As he looked at Kitty, a bold idea began forming in Stark's mind.
"We might be able to make use of Kitty's abilities." As soon as Stark said this, Amadeus understood what he meant.
He nodded in agreement with the suggestion.
When Jimmy saw this, he thought these guys were planning to make a move on him, and he prepared for battle again. Even the X-Men members readied themselves to respond to any attack.
"Relax, we're not going to attack you. We just need your abilities to help us." Stark raised both hands to show he had no intention of harming them.
Although the X-Men had long stopped trusting these people, a glance at the massive figure currently destroying New York and the fierce battle underway was enough to silence them.
"We're in," Kitty said, raising her head and locking eyes with Captain America. If there was anyone she trusted most—aside from Stark, who had helped rebuild Eden—it was him.
"But you have to tell us exactly what's going on, and who that guy is fighting the giant brute."
Despite Kitty's flurry of questions, Stark agreed to explain everything. They couldn't afford to stay here any longer—the area was likely to be affected by the ongoing battle. Just moments ago, Ravager had been sent flying by a slap from Galactus.
He was flung from one end of Midtown Manhattan to the other, destroying countless buildings along the way.
Given how intense their fight was, the spot they were standing in was clearly within the combat zone.
Galactus couldn't understand what Ravager was made of—why the more he fought, the stronger he became, even starting to match Galactus in sheer strength.
Of course, it was only in terms of raw power. In every other aspect, Galactus still had the upper hand.
But the energy blasts that had never failed him before were now doing nothing to Ravager. It was like throwing a stone into the ocean—vanishing without a trace.
Yet, when Ravager struck Galactus, the pain was very real.
Galactus grabbed the creature, who was still hammering at his waist, and hurled him away.
But in his rage, Galactus tossed Ravager straight toward the machines he had just assembled.
Ravager didn't care about the machines—but Bruce did. This action aligned perfectly with Bruce's intentions.
As Ravager prepared to leap back into battle, Bruce's consciousness forcibly anchored him to the machines.
Ravager tried to yell something at Bruce, but Bruce's mind firmly suppressed Ravager's will, taking control of his nearly invincible body and directing it to destroy the machinery.
"No!"
Galactus turned just in time to see that Bruce had already used Doomsday's body to wreck most of his machines.
Noticing Galactus's gaze, Bruce launched himself at Galactus's midsection. This time, he had no intention of fighting on the ground anymore.
Galactus tried to rebuild his machinery, but the next moment he felt himself being lifted off the ground.
Doomsday's hands were deeply embedded in the armor around Galactus's waist, anchoring himself to prevent being thrown off.
And with that, Doomsday took the massive Galactus and soared out of Earth's atmosphere.
Galactus had no desire to leave. He began releasing bursts of energy, trying to shake off the damn creature or melt it completely.
But Doomsday, having evolved to this level, could now almost ignore Galactus's energy attacks. While not fully immune, the blasts no longer hindered his movements.
Meanwhile, the Ultimate Team, who had been planning to return to S.H.I.E.L.D., saw the massive figure in the sky growing smaller and smaller before their eyes.
"What the—!"
None of them could believe what they were seeing—that small figure was actually dragging Galactus into space.
Just then, Gwen suddenly sat down.
The mask of her nano suit retracted, revealing her tear-streaked face.
Jessica didn't understand what had happened but sat beside Gwen, trying to ask what was going on and where the bat had gone.
As she approached, Gwen's nano suit extended onto Jessica's suit, forming an alternate mask over her face.
"Gwen, your nano suit can connect directly to the space shuttle in the Batcave. If you see that big purple guy losing control, launch the shuttle."
"There's a gift I left on it—just for him."
"And… please tell Jessica I'm sorry."
"Goodbye."
It was a short voice message, with no video—typical of what the Bat would do.
At that moment, the nanobots retreated from Jessica's armor. She turned to Gwen, wanting to ask something, but Gwen's expression said it all.
The Ultimate Team wanted to question the two Spider-Women, but before they could, Stark's armor alerted him—something had just launched from outside New York City.
Stark quickly turned to look but saw only a streak of light cutting across the sky before disappearing.
In the next instant, an enormous explosion of energy erupted above Earth.
"No!!!"
