"Hey! Naruto! Hinata!" Kiba and Shino called out as they approached from a distance.
"Found it!" Kiba announced, holding up a small plastic box.
"Really?" Naruto and Hinata leaned over to peer inside. Sure enough, a bug resembling a longhorn beetle was crawling around.
"By the way, did you guys see that just now?" Kiba said excitedly. "It's like the gods are helping us—a huge tornado just blew the rainclouds away!"
Hinata glanced at Naruto, smiling. "Yeah... it really does feel like someone's watching over us."
"But the rain clouds are coming back. We should find shelter before it pours again," Shino said calmly as he walked up behind them.
"Well, if everything goes smoothly, the Micro-Scent Bug should hatch tomorrow!" Kiba said with a wide grin.
Suddenly, two kunai came flying out of nowhere—
Whoosh!
—one of them striking Naruto squarely in the back!
"Naruto!" Hinata cried out in alarm.
Three figures emerged from the trees—it was the trio from the defunct Shōshuryū Clan.
"Brats!" sneered the female ninja Suzumebachi. "If you don't want to end up like him, then hand over the Micro-Scent Bug right now!"
"Hmph!" growled the bearded man, Hige. "Once we get that bug, we'll find the hidden techniques left behind by our clan's founder! With that power, the Shōshuryū Clan will rise again!"
"Exactly!" said the man with glasses, nodding enthusiastically.
Hinata, Kiba, and Shino, however, ignored them. Instead, they looked down at Naruto who was still dramatically writhing on the ground.
Hinata squatted down next to him and asked with a straight face, "Hey… are you done wailing yet?"
The Shōshuryū trio froze.
"...Is Konoha so wild now that this is the reaction to their comrade getting stabbed in the heart?!"
"AHH! I'M DEAD!" Naruto continued to howl.
Then, from behind a tree, the real Naruto stepped out, scratching his head in frustration. The Naruto on the ground disappeared in a puff of smoke—poof!
"Mmpf, Shadow Clones never let me down. They can't do much except make a scene," Naruto muttered.
"Nani?! That was a Shadow Clone?!" the trio of Shōshuryū exclaimed.
"How dare you trick us!" shouted Hige, veins bulging.
"Ninjutsu—Honey Swarm Technique!" Suzumebachi shouted. Bees made of hardened honey flew out of her sleeves, swarming toward the team.
"So many!" Kiba gasped.
Naruto stepped forward confidently, glancing at Hinata. "Come on, wifey. Time for you to witness the fist technique I taught you."
He formed a stance and declared, "Flowing Water Rock-Smashing Fist — Flowing Water Formation!"
As the swarm of bees descended, Naruto's hands moved in seamless waves. A silver flash swept through the air—every bee that entered his striking range was sliced down. The fallen bees covered the ground, but none made it through the invisible defensive zone around him.
"Amazing..." Hinata whispered, her eyes sparkling.
"No way!" Suzumebachi screamed. "Who the hell is this guy?! All of my bees were destroyed before getting close!"
"Damn it! Even when we mix in real bees, they can't reach him!" the glasses-wearing man cursed.
"Let me handle this!" Hige stepped forward. "Secret Technique — Thousand Peak Sting!"
Bees swarmed out from Hige's body, their stingers shooting out like mini-arrows in a hailstorm of venom-tipped projectiles.
"Hinata, watch closely—this is the next level of the technique." Naruto narrowed his eyes. "Jet Fingers — Precision Flow!"
His fingers tensed and began plucking each tiny spine out of the air with machine-like precision, fluid and unhindered, as if his movements were water flowing downhill.
"Incredible!" Kiba, Shino, and Hinata all stared in awe. Naruto's body moved like liquid steel—graceful, yet utterly impenetrable.
"This is inhuman!" Suzumebachi shouted, horror etched on her face. "How is that even possible?!"
"You bastards, enough playing around! ALL TOGETHER!" roared the man with glasses.
"Honey Swarm Technique!"
"Bee Bomb Technique!"
"Thousand Peak Sting!"
The trio unleashed their most powerful techniques at once. A massive swarm of bees, bombs, and stingers came surging toward Naruto and the team like a black tide.
Naruto turned to them, calm as ever. "Alright, it's time for the miracle. Watch closely."
The others swallowed nervously.
He clapped his hands together.
The air was tense, as if everyone forgot to breathe. The bees came crashing down—and—
"Fire Style — Fire Annihilation!" Naruto shouted.
A massive wall of fire erupted from his mouth, engulfing the incoming swarm. In seconds, the bees were reduced to ash—nothing remained.
The trio of enemies stumbled backward, slack-jawed. "That's not a fist technique!"
Naruto scratched his head. "Come on, with that many bees? Who the hell has time to punch each one? Fire Style's way easier..."
Kiba and Shino: ...
The Shōshuryū trio grew increasingly agitated. "Damn you! We must get the Micro-Scent Bug! It's the only hope for the revival of our clan!"
Suzumebachi bit her finger, slamming her palm onto the ground.
"Summoning Technique!"
With a puff of smoke, a massive queen bee appeared behind her. It was easily three times larger than the giant hornet they'd encountered earlier.
"Nani?!" Kiba, Hinata, and Shino gasped in unison.
"That's the Queen Bee," Shino explained. "She can produce beeswax to immobilize enemies, and her exoskeleton is strong enough to pierce steel."
"That strong?!" Kiba clenched his fists. "Let's go all out!"
Naruto stepped forward, calm as ever. "Perfect. Time for the ultimate form of the Flowing Water Rock-Smashing Fist. Hinata, this one's for you."
"You cocky brat!" Suzumebachi shouted. "Queen Bee, attack!"
The giant insect charged with terrifying speed, wings creating a sonic boom as it lunged forward.
Naruto smiled. "Whirlwind! Flowing Water! Crushing Fist!"
With a blur of motion, Naruto struck with a combination of powerful, fluid punches. Shockwaves formed from his blows, creating visible air currents. As the Queen Bee lunged, Naruto's final strike connected—sending the monstrous insect flying backwards like a battering ram straight into her summoners.
"IMPOSSIBLE!" the three shouted in unison as they were slammed into a tree, groaning, their fate unclear.
Naruto cracked his knuckles and turned to the others. "That's that."
Hinata looked at him with starry eyes. Kiba and Shino both had cold sweat dripping down their foreheads.
"At least he's on our side," they thought simultaneously.
Time passed. The female Micro-Scent Bug finally laid an egg, which hardened and formed a shell at a visible speed.
"Look!" Shino pointed. "The bug's about to hatch!"
"Awesome!" Hinata beamed. "Naruto!"
Naruto nodded, though his expression turned somber. He pulled out the forehead protector Kakashi had once given Sasuke.
"If I really want to find Sasuke... should I go or not? Why does everyone think they need to find Sasuke..." Naruto muttered to himself.
"Hey! The bug's about to hatch!" Kiba said, leaning in.
"Quick! Get the forehead protector ready!" Shino urged.
Naruto rushed forward.
Suddenly, he jerked Hinata backward.
Kiba blinked in confusion. "Ahem… yeah, uh… remember that poisonous fruit I ate two days ago…?"
The newborn bug sniffed once—then trembled and zoomed straight toward Kiba's butt.
Everyone: "…"

"So let me get this straight." Tsunade stared at them with an icy expression. "You ran around for half a month. Killed three Rock Shinobi. And in the end… the Micro-Scent Bug was attracted by a fart?!"
Everyone turned their heads slowly toward the horizon and said in unison, "Ah… the moon's so round toni
ght…"
