Chapter 158 - CHAPTER 158

"None of these things are on my mind right now."

After thinking about it for a while, Uchiha Kiyo came back to his senses.

Now that the experiment had begun, it was time to examine the power of the fusion.

Would the body-forging process enhance the capabilities of Lava Release in the later stages?

Uchiha Kiyo was not lacking in ninjutsu.

Over the past year, Tushi had developed numerous fusion-based techniques.

Since Lava Release was a fusion of two elements, and it shared characteristics of both Fire and Earth Release, developing new jutsu based on existing techniques from these elements was not particularly difficult.

Most Kekkei Genkai techniques were developed in this way.

Of course, there were exceptions. Kekkei Genkai often had unique characteristics that single-element techniques did not possess, allowing for the development of specialized jutsu based on those properties. Examples included Ice Release's Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals and Dust Release's Detachment of the Primitive World Technique.

These specialized jutsu were beyond what Tushi could develop within a single year.

Besides, Kiyo had yet to discover any unique traits of Lava Release...

Uchiha Kiyo formed hand seals.

The chakra within his body circulated between Fire and Earth in a small cycle before finally gathering at his throat.

Like the Great Fireball Technique, a massive sphere of magma erupted from Uchiha Kiyo's mouth.

"Boom!"

Unlike Fire Release's Great Fireball Technique, the magma sphere caused massive destruction upon impact.

Its physical damage far surpassed that of ordinary Fire Release jutsu.

"Lava Release—Ninja Tool Forging Technique!"

A large volume of molten chakra burst from Uchiha Kiyo's body, forming thousands of senbon in midair. They shot toward the open space in the distance, causing a thick cloud of smoke to rise.

When the dust settled, the ground was riddled with smoking holes.

Each senbon had embedded itself precisely into the ground, the intense heat melting the earth upon impact.

If the target had been a human...

The fragile human body would have had no chance of withstanding such an attack.

It was essentially an enhanced version of his previous Earth Release Senbon technique, now imbued with searing heat.

"It seems easier to condense magma than it was with earth and stone. Is this another benefit of the body-forging realm? Or was the incompatibility between the stone-based body and the Shadow Clone technique causing the previous difficulty?"

Uchiha Kiyo realized that forming Lava Release techniques felt as natural as using Fire Release.

"If this is indeed a benefit of the body-forging process, that would be excellent. Not only do my original techniques become more convenient, but my ability to handle Kekkei Genkai also improves."

A thought occurred to him—a bold, reckless idea that sent a surge of excitement through his mind.

"This is bad. Now I want to acquire all elemental affinities."

The temptation was too great. Uchiha Kiyo couldn't help but consider pushing his body-forging process even further to incorporate all five elements.

In other words, he needed to develop at least two more Kekkei Genkai, adding Water, Wind, and Lightning Release into the mix.

If the ninjas of the world heard his thoughts, they would surely call him insane.

Mastering a single Kekkei Genkai was already considered an incredible feat. Attempting to develop a second was unheard of—was he not afraid of elemental conflicts?

Ninjas had considered the possibility of awakening multiple Kekkei Genkai before. Some even arranged marriages between clans with different Kekkei Genkai, hoping to produce offspring who inherited both abilities.

But without exception, these attempts failed. Either the offspring failed to awaken both bloodlines, or the conflicting elements caused their bodies to collapse.

Well, there was one exception: the Fifth Mizukage, Terumi Mei, who possessed both Boil Release and Lava Release.

Uchiha Kiyo, who had successfully fused two elements, had no idea how she managed it, but he firmly believed in his own theory.

His increasingly refined theories gave him confidence.

As long as success was possible, there was hope.

Failure to awaken multiple Kekkei Genkai ultimately came down to talent. The perceived difficulty was irrelevant.

If talent was sufficient, even the presence of an existing bloodline limit wouldn't prevent further development.

More importantly, Kiyo's fusion techniques weren't simply haphazard creations. He had mastered the underlying principles and successfully engineered his own Kekkei Genkai.

Though refining and perfecting it remained difficult, to Kiyo, it was like solving a problem with a provided formula. With a working example to reference, he could systematically work through other combinations.

"The main issue to resolve is the conflict between different Kekkei Genkai. That shouldn't be too difficult."

With his refined understanding of bloodline limits, Uchiha Kiyo felt confident in overcoming this challenge.

Perhaps he was being overconfident, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he was capable of accomplishing it.

Now, he needed to decide which Kekkei Genkai to pursue next.

Yes, Uchiha Kiyo had already made up his mind to develop not just a second but potentially even a third bloodline limit.

He would master all elements.

However, before embarking on this ambitious endeavor, there was something crucial he needed to take care of.

Glancing at his now unrecognizable courtyard, Uchiha Kiyo frowned.

He felt restricted.

During his recent ninjutsu tests, he realized that his courtyard was simply too small. He couldn't unleash his full power within such a confined space.

It was time to activate the island's grand formation.

"So that's what I forgot last time."

"Two years ago, when I traveled across the ninja world, I neglected to study the barrier techniques of other villages."

"Oh well, next time for sure."

"For now, I need to figure out how to activate the grand formation."

The island's barrier was massive, not only in size but in complexity. Uchiha Kiyo had added countless overlapping seals to enhance its effects. It was extremely effective, though it consumed a considerable amount of chakra.

To activate it, he needed a tailed beast.

Uchiha Kiyo had the confidence to capture a tailed beast, not only due to his own strength and sealing expertise but also because of his trust in his island's protective barrier.

Despite using only mid-tier sealing techniques, Kiyo had stacked them infinitely, making them more effective than most high-tier techniques.

The formation could completely mask a tailed beast's immense chakra signature.

As long as no one conducted a thorough search of the entire ninja world, even Black Zetsu wouldn't be able to find him.

If he was careful while capturing the tailed beast, his identity would remain undiscovered.

Kiyo had no idea exactly how much chakra a tailed beast contained, as he had never witnessed one in its full form.

However, based on his encounter with Roshi when he unleashed his Four-Tails chakra, the amount was undoubtedly staggering.

During that brief burst, Roshi's chakra output had been at least four to five hundred units.

And that wasn't even at full power.

If the Four-Tails had four to five hundred units of chakra in that state, then its total reserves must be at least a thousand.

This was terrifying, and that was only the Four-Tails.

Uchiha Kiyo grinned.

"Tushi, go capture a tailed beast."

Tushi: "...Why me? Why not your main body?"

"If a clone dies, it's not a big loss."

And so, Uchiha Kiyo prepared to face the tailed beasts.

It was finally time to see just how strong he had become.
