Four beams of light flashed, and Zixu and his companions were teleported to different locations across strange, hostile worlds.
Zixu found himself in the middle of a glacier. The biting wind howled across the ice, making him shiver. He wrapped his arms around himself, muttering, "Damn… I hate the cold."
Karin landed in a volcanic crater surrounded by boiling magma. Reacting quickly, she transformed into her phoenix form, halting her fall in midair. But even with her transformation, the searing heat gnawed at her feathers and skin.
Hatsuizumi was thrown into a lifeless desert. Cracked, dry earth stretched as far as the eye could see, shimmering under the scorching sun. The endless gold brought no joy—only desolation and silence.
Chinano's location was stranger than the rest. Beneath her feet lay a path of green stone bricks, and the vast surroundings offered no structure, no landmark—just emptiness, like she had been dropped onto the moon.
A crushing weight bore down on her shoulders, as if the gravity of an entire planet was pressing her into the stone floor. Her body hit the ground hard.
But then, faint green lights like fireflies danced around her. Space itself rippled, counteracting the supergravity field. Chinano stood up slowly, steadying herself.
She hadn't yet fully mastered the powers of the Tenseigan—but battle was the best teacher. In this moment, she felt herself growing stronger, slowly syncing with the eye's potential.
She began testing moves she previously failed to use. Reborn through fire and war, Chinano now had what it took to fight even Kaguya.
Several Truth-Seeking Orbs hovered behind her—except these weren't normal. Hers shimmered with a soft green Tenseigan chakra, allowing her to control multiple orbs at once.
The Tenseigan's true potential must be more than this, Chinano thought. The moon and the earth… such vast distance. It should have spatial abilities too…
She couldn't quite figure out the changes happening to her eyes, but her gut told her something was off.
Suddenly, her intuition screamed. She turned toward a space behind her—it looked normal, but her instincts said otherwise.
She clenched her fists, instinctively condensing a silver blade in her hand.
Before she could react further, a dark light gate opened—and Kaguya appeared!
Without hesitation, Chinano slashed forward. Even Kaguya was caught off guard. The sudden strike startled her, forcing her to defend. A massive Truth-Seeking Orb wrapped her body in three thick layers. Chinano's blade sliced through the outer shell but couldn't penetrate deeper.
Chinano didn't want to fight here. Not yet. Her priority was regrouping with Zixu and the others.
Behind Kaguya, familiar spatial ripples surged—something was calling to Chinano. A mysterious connection seemed to form between her and the light gate.
Kaguya didn't sense it. Now aware that Chinano possessed the Tenseigan , she marked her as a major threat—but not one to handle right away. She decided to take out the weaker ones first and save Chinano for last.
She vanished into the gate.
Chinano, feeling the link, realized she could now trace Kaguya's movements through her portals.

When Kaguya reappeared, Hatsuizumi had already spent half a day trapped in the desert. Time in these spaces seemed to flow differently.
But this wasn't the same desert anymore.
The ground had mutated into a fungal carpet, pulsing like a living beast. It surged in waves, consuming everything in its path. The sky had vanished under a dark mass of flying insects. Not even sunlight could break through now.
In the middle of this monstrous landscape, Hatsuizumi stood unmoved. She didn't see herself as prey.
In her eyes, neither the Sage of Six Paths nor Kaguya were gods.
They were just powerful people. And people could be killed.
"The herbs are ready," Hatsuizumi said softly, raising her arms.
The insects responded like a tsunami.
This wasn't a simple swarm—this was a sea of insects, raging like a natural disaster. They surged forward to devour the world itself.
Kaguya tried to resist. She unleashed her Truth-Seeking Orb, and it did kill many insects. But to her horror, the bugs didn't stop. They kept swarming—and a few even managed to bite into the Truth-Seeking Orb, shattering a piece.
That was when Kaguya backed off.
She couldn't understand what these things were—and she didn't plan to stick around to find out.
---
Teleporting again, Kaguya now appeared in the world where the girl with the least presence, Karin, had landed.
Karin had grown accustomed to the volcanic heat. Though she could still feel the scorching temperatures, her phoenix form shielded her from the worst of it.
Kaguya peeked through a black portal, scanning for traps.
No sudden attacks. No bugs. No strange chakra.
She started to relax a little.
Floating high in the air, she once again summoned her signature gray-black bone weapons. She wasn't wasting any more time. Her last two encounters taught her a valuable lesson: hesitation kills.
She moved through the black door silently, planning to wait until Karin dropped her guard—then strike with a fatal blow.
But things didn't go as planned.
Karin, eyes closed, felt the surge of chakra creeping around her. She couldn't see anyone—but she didn't need to. Her sensory ability picked up everything.
"Zixu once said even the ultimate lifeform can be sealed in lava… Guess it's worth a shot," she muttered.
She began descending toward the magma below.
Kaguya noticed, but assumed Karin was weakening or disoriented. So, she took action.
Karin was ready.
As Kaguya struck from behind, thick golden chains burst from Karin's back, wrapping tightly around Kaguya's arms. Kaguya barely had time to register the trap.
At that moment, Karin's lower body—what Kaguya attacked—dissolved into flames.
The real Karin was already above her, holding a flaming blue Gatling gun aimed directly at her head.
Hovering in the molten heat, her energy pressing down like a burning wave, Karin smirked.
"You messed with the wrong phoenix, bitch."
And for the first time, Kaguya wondered—has the outside world become this terrifying?
