Ace suddenly dropped his cutlery and stood up, taking a deep breath. "Don't mind us and have a good night," he said, his eyes darting through the tables until they landed on a flustered Zara.
Zara offered a hesitant smile, unsure of how to react, but before she could say anything, Ace had already turned and walked away.
A small, satisfied smile tugged at her lips. Flirting with Ace wasn't part of the plan, but it had definitely made her night.
"What do you think is wrong with her?" Nadia asked, genuinely clueless.
She hadn't caught on to anything that had just happened.
Zara shrugged, her smile mischievous. "Who knows?"
Kendrick let out a forced chuckle and tilted his head toward her. "You sure you don't know?"
Her smile faltered as she turned to him, trying to keep her expression neutral.
"W-what?" she stammered, feigning confusion.
Nadia glanced between them, sensing tension but not understanding it.
