If Gio was there to hear the Headmaster's thoughts, he would have had no choice but to agree. The current humanity was not prepared for what it was about to face, and that was why he wanted to change humanity.

After gaining permission from the Headmaster, he sent the three of them back to their rooms to prepare anything they needed. It was a trip where they'd spend most of their time in the wilderness, so there were some essentials they had to take.
Gio had the Storage Hole, but he couldn't bring it out easily. He packed a bag with his most essential items and saved the resources in his Storage Hole for the worst-case scenario.
