It reformed again—this time into a massive, gaping maw filled with jagged black teeth. The mist inside twisted into a spinning vortex, and I instantly felt it—a pull on my body, dragging me forward toward that swirling darkness.
The maw lunged at me.
My Essence was still regenerating, not enough yet to burn through all that Deathmist. But I didn't need Essence to solve everything. My body was strong enough—and I had another idea.
I whispered, "Space Lock."
The skill I'd developed by fusing my control over space and light triggered instantly. A transparent cube shimmered into existence around the Phantom's massive mouth, sealing it inside a confined block of distorted space.
I flew straight toward the sealed cube and hovered just inches from its surface. I placed my palm gently on it.
This was the key part.
