The three conscious parties stood, Alloy and Damion had decided to end the situation they were in. Damion shot his gun at one of Otto's vines directly, only for it to bounce off.
"Guns don't work on this armor." Otto said.
"Then I'll have to be the one to attack you head on." Alloy said. Her face hurting, her body also damaged, but her mind was determined. And Damion could see it quite clearly.
"I'll see what I can do." He said.
Alloy charged and slashed his blocking left arm with her right sword. It managed to cut quite a bit, but not enough to get to his skin. She jumped back and lunged again, this time with her left. He blocked with his right arm as she noticed his left vines cover each other. He threw a punch to get her off his arm but she jumped back again, dodging the attempt. Otto then summoned a bunch of vines from the ground, apparently, not all his seeds had sprouted. Different vines had come from them as they followed Alloy, she jumped backward, dodging whatever flew to her and slashing what she could out of her way.
Damion took the opportunity of Otto's distraction toward Alloy and decided to take the chance. He ran behind the trees to get more bullets from the guns of the still unconscious men that followed their enemy. He quickly did so as he watched Alloy recover and launch another attack that forced Otto to block again. His eyes sparkled as he noticed something.
'His joints… they aren't covered at all by the vines. Maybe they're to help him move better.' He thought. He looked down at the few bullets he managed to salvage. 'Five bullets… they'll have to do.' He got up, loaded and aimed the pistol as he waited for him to punch Alloy with his obvious next move. But he didn't punch her. Alloy coughed as she received the impact of a heavy kick on her stomach and flew to a tree. Damion's eyes widened as her weapons dissolved into mist. Due to the shock, he didn't predict Otto punching her as a follow up to the kick. He shot at his armored ribs and once it bounced off, Otto turned to glance at Damion.
'He noticed.' He thought. His eyes moved to look at Alloy as she tried to stand up once more.
"So you want to die too??" Otto threatened. Damion noticed that Alloy needed a few seconds to get back up as she was the main deterrent to Otto's plans, so he decided to take over his attention until she was ready. He shot at him once more. 'Three left.' He thought.
"Have it your way!! I'll tell your brother you were dead before we even got here!!" He charged at him, leaving Alloy's position, just as planned.
The large man's heavy steps shook the ground enough to startle a few of the unconscious men who began waking up, disoriented. They watched as Damion stood, staring death in the face as it charged toward him in the form of green vines.
"Huh??!! Boss is still fighting??" One spoke.
"But he's about to end it!!" Said another.
"This ground is wet!!" Complained another.
The men watched as Otto charged past them and began chanting and cheering him on.
"Boss!! Boss!! Boss!!"
"Beat him!!"
"Kill that girl too!! She looks rich!!"
Meanwhile, the girl stood up, her ebony hair splayed itself on her forehead as she looked down. "Zed was right… I haven't even gone far, yet I meet an enemy this strong on my first adventure…" She said to herself. Watching Otto head to Damion, she took one step forward. Readying herself.
"Hey…" One of the men noticed as he called another.
"The girl… she got up!!" He exclaimed.
She held her left hand adjacent to the right side of her neck as her sharp eyes targeted the moving object. Her chest inflated slightly with the deep breath she took as she held it for about two seconds. She exhaled slowly as she gripped an already formed hilt of her katana. Her drift flowed as smoothly as her exhale did, ending the creation of her ebony blade at the same time. The air grew heavy, forcing everyone to feel it.
"Boss!! Boss!! BOSS!!" The tone of their chants switched from excitement to warning and urgency. Otto stopped in his tracks to look back. Damion smiled, knowing he'd find an opportunity soon. The men's mouths were wide open as they watched a larger version of what hit them escape from Alloy's sword. A wave, large enough to be launched from both swords, launched from Alloy's left sword alone. It flew across the battlefield, cutting the vines on the way and not reducing at all.
Otto held both his hands up to block it, but it sliced through the multitudes of vines that protected him.
"This… this isn't enough to beat me!!" He exclaimed as the wave cut through almost all of them and nicked his skin when he roared and expelled the rest of the attack, leaving his arms wide open. That was his mistake. Two very quick gunshots filled the air as he roared in pain and glanced sharply at the cause of it over his shoulder. While his arms were splayed open, Damion shot at both his elbows with the accuracy of a hawk, rendering them useless to block. As Otto began turning, he was held back by the shouts of his men.
"Boss!! Boss!!"
"SHUT UP!! I'M BUSY!!" He shouted back.
"Boss!! The girl!! She's…"
"SHE'S WHAT??!!" He demanded as the air felt heavier, thicker… he heard a branch crack at his feet and the moment he looked down, time slowed as he found a crouched girl who's hair blew slightly more vigorously than the wind forced it to. Her hand gripped her katana, whose blade gleamed in the spots of sunlight once more. He gasped as he tried to block but couldn't. A second later, Alloy roared as she slashed upward, a straight line on his left torso and chest formed. Immediately after, Otto roared in pain as the vines that were to protect him failed and split like tight strings cut from the center and blood splattered. He fell to his knees, realizing how strong the two brats were.
"Screw… you…" were his final words as his unconscious body fell to the ground. Next to him, Damion and Alloy stood, smiling as they caught their breath from the fight that wore them out.
