As Lynch was puzzling over this, Frey stepped forward. For some reason, she seemed very afraid of Grant. Lynch noticed that her steps unconsciously slowed down a bit, and she even took a deep breath.
Her expression was tense as she said, "I've found another apprentice skilled in biological transformation to see if he can help you."
Grant said irritably, "How many times has it been already? Do you have no sincerity at all?"
"Or are you..."
"Still treating me like a test subject?" His voice became severe.
Frey's face changed and she quickly replied, "That's absolutely not true. I've been doing my utmost to solve your problem, truly doing everything I can. But biological transformation isn't my specialty. That's Barton's expertise. I'm truly not trying to deceive you."
It seemed certain now; this woman was indeed Frey.
Grant said, "You'd better be telling the truth."
