Jerry's face darkened, his eyes narrowing as he stared into the boss's eyes. "I don't want you to lie. I want you to remember. Because if you don't start talking for real… the next thing I'll break won't be your arm…"
The boss's breathing grew shaky, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. He could tell from Jerry's expression that he wasn't bluffing.
"What's wrong with you, huh?!" the boss spat, his voice shaky with both anger and fear. "I told you everything! It was a guy! A damn rich guy! I could tell from his voice! Classy, clean, educated! And he paid fat money, okay? That's all I got! What more do you want?!"
Jerry's voice dropped lower, almost like a whisper. "I want what you're hiding."
"I'm not hiding anything!" the boss snapped, gritting his teeth.
Jerry didn't answer immediately. He just stared coldly at the man, his jaw tightening, his eyes unreadable. Then he said, "That's why I'm waiting. The person coming will know how to drag the truth out of you."
