Melanie looks at me with this hurt look and I'm unable to bear her pain. I cross to her and hold her tight. She holds me in a firm grip. Crying heavily. I hold her, even though I know it isn't enough for her. Even though I know I can't help her. I should kill Regan right now!
I knew Regan was no good. I knew he was going to break her. But I had hoped that somehow she knew what she was doing. I had hoped she knew his reputation as a flirt. But I didn't expect her to fall head over heels with Regan like the other women did.
She holds me tight, muttering words, which I don't think she should be saying right now. She needs to calm down. She would fall sick if she continues to cry like this. It's late and I know she needs rest. We will talk about this in the morning.
