Throughout the night I couldn't sleep and now it was morning and my eyes were heavy.
But how could I sleep after what happened last night?
I couldn't get everything out of my mind, especially the part where I was mistaken for the late fox Queen.
But what was even more perplexing was the fact that I will be seeing him today and he didn't specify when.
Regardless, something also caught my attention.
He didn't kill me.
He let me go.
Was that a good or bad thing? I didn't know.
One of the major reasons why I couldn't sleep was because I thought he would sneak into my room and do something to me. So to be on the safe side, I decided to be vigilant and now I regret it.
My eyes hurt and I decided to catch some beauty sleep for five minutes at least but that couldn't happen because a loud knock came at the door, jolting me.
"Come in," I grumbled.
The door opened with ease and in came Joy with her quiet but knowing smile.
