The water around him parted as golden mana enveloped his body.

In a single, swift motion, he surged upwards, traveling more than six hundred feet. A moment later, the lake's surface glowed golden as Oliver pierced through it. Then, a burst of water erupted into the sky as his body shot upwards.
Immediately, he molded the golden mana into wings, just as he would with blood, and flapped them. As this happened, the autonomous system of Phantom Nemesis, his boat, activated and flew towards Root's campsite. Oliver flew from the east, and the boat approached from the south, both on a collision course with Root's location.
One might think Oliver was overreacting, given his intense approach to the situation.
