The rain outside the window was still falling like a constant curtain over the city almost in complete ruin. Grandpa Chu looked outside and used his divine sense to check what was happening. Finding that the flood water had reached the fourth floor and was faster approaching the fifth floor, he lamented at the quietly festering city.
All the glory and majesty of such a big city had been buried under water. As someone who had survived through the great war, famine, and various economic crises, he felt overwhelmed by the sheer destruction of the apocalypse.
He was glad that his ancestors sacrificed so much to learn about the future and made preparations by forging the soul ring. He was almost sure that after the flood and probably some other disasters, the soil would not be suitable to grow crops.
