Chapter 208 - Chapter 205: Nanako's talent

Nanako treated chakra like a brand-new toy.

She insisted on practicing every single day and constantly pestered Sakiya to teach her more!

Of course, at her current level, she wasn't ready for ninjutsu yet.

But one thing was clear—Nanako was a genius.

Her chakra contained all elemental attributes, something incredibly rare.

---

Training Grounds

Sakiya stood in front of a training target, waiting patiently.

"Nanako! Today, I'll teach you one of the basic human skills—the art of throwing weapons!"

She pointed at a set of kunai and shuriken laid out before them.

"Even though they're just simple ninja weapons, they're still useful for someone at your level."

"Besides, next year, when you start at the Ninja Academy, you'll need to learn this anyway."

She then tapped the Konoha symbol on her armguard.

"Even someone as strong as me, the unstoppable wielder of the Eye of Death, is still considered a ninja."

Nanako nodded, eyes sparkling with excitement.

"I understand!"

Meanwhile, Ino, who had nothing better to do, tagged along to watch.

At first, she thought Sakiya was just playing around again.

But when she saw how seriously Sakiya was teaching Nanako, she actually felt a little relieved.

Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.

---

Sakiya took a deep breath, her expression turning serious.

Then—she moved!

With a dramatic spin, she pulled out a few shuriken from her waist, along with a handful of kunai!

She twirled them in the air, adding completely unnecessary flair to her movements.

Then—

Kunai and shuriken flew toward the target!

One after another!

When the dust settled…

Some kunai barely hit the board.

A few shuriken even pierced through.

But most of them? Completely off-mark.

---

Ino immediately covered her face.

She had actually gotten her hopes up.

But this?

Sakiya still had zero accuracy!

Her movements were flashy, sure, but completely impractical.

She wasted too much time spinning and adding unnecessary motions.

This wasn't teaching—it was just showing off.

Yet…

Nanako's eyes shone with admiration.

"Big sis! That was incredible! So cool! I wanna try it too!"

Ino's jaw dropped.

Did Nanako not notice the horrible accuracy?!

Sakiya's accuracy was so bad that even throwing a rock might be better.

And yet—she was attempting the most difficult technique possible.

This wasn't a beginner-level lesson. It was several levels harder than normal kunai throwing.

And Nanako? She was only four years old!

Was it really okay to start with something this difficult?!

Ignoring Ino's bewildered expression, Sakiya pulled out three kunai and handed them to Nanako.

Nanako took them eagerly.

Sakiya warned her:

"This is your first time, so be careful. You're still weak, and these kunai can hurt you."

"Don't get discouraged if you fail. Almost everyone does. The trick is just to practice more."

Nanako nodded seriously.

"I understand, Sis! The Eye of Death!"

With that, she took her stance, preparing to throw.

Sakiya stood back.

Ino, now curious, watched closely.

When she was Nanako's age, she had also trained with kunai.

But… her results had been less than impressive.

After all, not every kid was a genius like Itachi.

Before Ino could process her thoughts—

Nanako moved.

Her small body was surprisingly fast and agile.

She threw all three kunai into the air at once!

Then—a flawless spin!

Mid-turn, her tiny hands moved like lightning.

She caught one kunai mid-air, using it to deflect the other two toward the target.

And finally—

She threw the last kunai with perfect timing.

THUNK! THUNK! THUNK!

All three kunai landed solidly in the target's inner ring.

Ino was completely speechless.

"This... was NOT the script I had in mind…"

She had been expecting a total failure.

But this?!

Then, it hit her—

Nanako had always been playing around with Sakiya.

And Sakiya? She was constantly goofing off, using random objects like weapons.

Nanako had picked up on all of it.

She could twirl a broom like a sword.

She could spin bamboo poles and stones like a master.

She could even make a stick whistle through the air when swinging it.

In hindsight…

This result made perfect sense.

----

At first, Ino assumed that Nanako inherited this skill from Sakiya.

But surprisingly—this was her own natural talent!

When Nanako saw that all three kunai had hit the target, she immediately lifted her chin.

Her expression said it all:

I'm amazing! Hurry up and praise me!

Without hesitation, Sakiya rubbed Nanako's head.

"Good job, Nanako!"

"Of course!" Nanako grinned, her eyes curving into crescent moons.

"I am a master of weapons and skill! A true god of precision! The Hand of White Moon!"

Ino sighed inwardly.

Another nickname…

Sakiya smiled proudly.

"Nanako is really talented. Keep practicing, Hand of White Moon!"

Nanako struck a pose.

"Watch carefully! The Eye of Death!"

What followed was pure perfection.

Nanako landed every single hit.

Even the flashiest, most impractical techniques—she executed them flawlessly while still hitting the bullseye.

At that moment, Ino finally realized—

Sakiya's ridiculous moves weren't just for show.

She had been intentionally increasing the difficulty for Nanako.

Without those extra challenges, Nanako wouldn't even need to practice.

Next, Sakiya taught Nanako how to climb trees using chakra.

Nanako understood it instantly.

She completed the exercise on her first try.

Seeing this, Ino decided to join in the fun.

She picked up Nanako and brought her to the water, planning to help her learn water-walking.

But the moment she put Nanako down—

Nanako stood on the water perfectly.

Not only that—she started running across it, laughing.

"I am the Lord of the Waters!"

Nanako happily splashed around, completely unfazed.

Sakiya and Ino could only stare in disbelief.

Despite the rigorous training, Nanako barely struggled.

Even Sakiya noticed—

Her chakra was already more than enough.

There was nothing left to teach her at this stage.

Only one option remained...

Ninjutsu!

At that moment, both Ino and Sakiya had the same thought.

---

"Well~" Sakiya mused, resting her chin on her small hand.

"It looks like basic human abilities aren't a challenge for Nanako."

She then raised a finger, looking like a wise master.

"Alright! I'll teach you some ninjutsu. It's actually a type of power similar to magic.

The main difference? Magic requires chants and spells. Once you get stronger, you can even skip the chanting.

But ninjutsu? You need hand signs."

As she spoke, Sakiya began forming the hand seals for the Clone Technique.

But before she could finish—

Ino quickly grabbed her hand.

"Wait, Sakiya—let me do it."

Sakiya smirked.

"Oh? Is the Dark Emperor about to show off?"

She turned to Nanako.

"Alright then, let the Dark Emperor Ino be your teacher!"

Nanako's eyes sparkled as she nodded eagerly.

"Dark Emperor Ino! I will always remember your guidance!"

Ino twitched.

Why am I the Dark Emperor now?!

She clenched her teeth, forcing a stiff smile.

Deep down, she knew—

This was all Sakiya's fault.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got.

But she couldn't be mad at Nanako.

So she swallowed her frustration and put on a smile.

After all—

If she hadn't stopped Sakiya's ridiculous attempt at ninjutsu, who knows what nonsense she would've taught Nanako?

Ino pulled Nanako aside, patiently explaining the hand signs.

Then, she demonstrated everything slowly so Nanako could follow along.

"Watch closely. This is the transformation technique."

She brought her hands together, forming the final seal.

"Transformation jutsu!"

Poof!

A cloud of smoke appeared—

And standing there was "Sakiya."

But something was off.

Even though Ino had copied her form, she couldn't replicate Sakiya's natural aura.

Sakiya's presence was something beyond imitation.

Ino, now disguised as Sakiya, turned to Nanako with a smug grin.

"Got it?"

Nanako nodded immediately.

"I got it!"

Before Ino could react—

Poof!

Another cloud of smoke.

And in the blink of an eye—

A second Sakiya appeared.

But this time...

The resemblance was almost perfect.

Even though close friends could tell the difference, Nanako's imitation was leagues beyond Ino's.

Sakiya clapped.

"Not bad! As expected from my sister!"

With a smile, she ruffled Nanako's hair.

Both Ino and Nanako dispelled their transformations.

Nanako, now hooked on learning ninjutsu, looked up excitedly.

"I want to learn more!"

And so, Ino continued teaching her the three basic jutsu, while Sakiya went even further, introducing her own signature technique.

She called it...

"The Supreme Radiance Art."

Of course, the full name was something absurd like:

"The Moonlight Art of Ascension Beyond the Mortal Realm."

But regardless of the name, it was a complicated technique.

Even so, Nanako picked it up with ease.

She couldn't use it at full potential yet, but for a four-year-old, it was ridiculous.

By the time they were done, both Ino and Sakiya felt exhausted.

They had poured everything they had into teaching Nanako.

But looking at her overflowing talent, Ino couldn't help but sigh.

"She's definitely your sister, Sakiya."

Sakiya grinned proudly.

"Of course! I raised her myself! She could only turn out amazing!"

Ino gave her a deadpan stare.

"...If anything, she's the only thing you haven't ruined."

They both leaned against each other, watching Nanako practice excitedly.

Then, Ino suddenly remembered something.

"Hey, Sakiya, don't forget. We have a mission tomorrow."

Sakiya stretched lazily.

"Oh yeah. Didn't I pick a nice tourist destination for it?"

"Yeah. The Land of Snow. Apparently, it's covered in snow all year round. I heard it's breathtaking."

Sakiya's eyes lit up.

"Ooooh, now you have my attention."

Tomorrow's adventure awaited.
