Outside the crumbling stone arena, Naia watched as the barrier began to collapse. But her attention was suddenly drawn to Rose. Rose had been standing motionless throughout the entire fight, but something had changed. Her right hand hung loose at her side, her left pressed against her thigh. Her entire posture spoke of coiled energy waiting to be released.
Naia frowned, her water barrier still shimmering around her as debris rained down from the damaged ceiling. "Shouldn't you be concerned about your companion?"
Rose didn't respond. She stood like a statue, her skull mask tilted slightly downward as if she was studying the floor at her feet.
From within the crumbling stone arena came Emma's voice, strained but carrying clearly through the cracks: "Rose! Wake up! There's an enemy in front of you!"
