…Although, to be fair, there was only one. Most of the ideas Felix had came up with were about what to do if he were discovered - that is, when and how to escape from the town, if the worst came to worst. There was only one thing he could do now, before they arrived.
That is, to cover up his connection with Kade as much as possible.
It was quite simple, actually. Normally, silencing people was a difficult task - you had to either get rid of them (which was something Felix didn't even take into consideration), threaten them with something, or strike a deal by paying for their silence… However, there was still no guarantee they wouldn't spill your secrets when questioned. Unless they were dead or incapacitated to the point that any communication was impossible, of course. As long as they were alive, there was no guarantee…
