Hou closed his eyes and 'looked' at the spirits he had. He thought about what the quasi-Nascent Soul would do and decided to not risk.
'I can't decide to risk anything. If I try to only focus on future prospects, I might not be able to use the laws...or worse I could get hurt. If the laws go berserk I don't want to be turned into mush. But at the same time, I do want to see what will happen. I'll just do it with the healing spirit.'
Hou's logic was that if he only used the healing spirit with the quasi-Nascent Soul then if the laws went berserk he shouldn't be hurt too much.
Hou looked up, "So what should I do?".
Mo Huai smiled, "Let yourself be free let the spirits go in the body and just absorb them like a pill. The only they aren't already is that you're mentally blocked, you're still thinking of it like spirits. Remember that they are laws within your body. Take control!".
As Mo Huai spoke he clenched his fist infront of him. Like squashing a spirit in his hands. Hou saw this and nodded, then sitting back and closing his eyes again.
First, Hou decided to absorb all the normal laws in the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique. He would wait to do the healing spirit last.
'First, the atmosphere spirit. The one I used to clear Mo Haui's qi from Sacrarium.'
Hou looked into his quasi-Nascent Soul and saw the spirit. He sent it out of his soul and into his body, the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique.
Hou then spoke to Yue, "begin absorbing it, atmosphere"
Yue nodded mentally as he controlled the physique. He used the natural attractive force of the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique and pushed it to it's maximum. Then with his mental energy, Yue began to absorb the laws.
The spirit shattered and it's laws started as a pin prick but then begun to expand. As it started to grow, he absorbed them. The laws being continually pushed out from the spirit's destruction, being then assimilated into the Celestial Ink.
Mo Huai watched from the outside as Hou sat in a meditative cross legged pose still. Hou continued for days, using up the food pills he had stored within his stomach.
He still had much of the spirit to absorb and as he was going to get more pills, from the outside he felt something.
Mo Huai threw multiple food pills into the air around Hou, all injecting themselves into Hou. He settled himself and continued to absorb, while Yue was the main force he also had a weak consciousness even after taking Cang Ying.
Hou had an already strong consciousness but after becoming a quasi-Nascent Soul he was even stronger. He helped Yue and used his own willpower to supress the spirit laws from being released too fast.
At the same time the Celestial Ink was completely bonded with Hou mystically and he could still feel the effects.
As the laws were being absorbed it felt like cold wind on a hot summer day. Every breath he took felt completely pure and free from particulates.
Then after a week, he had absorbed the spirit. He opened his eyes, Mo Huai still sat watching. Hou spoke up, "I did the first spirit but I still have three more to go. How long did I take?"
Mo Huai shook his head like he was distracted then answered, "just a week, you're doing fine"
"A week?!"
"Don't think you're going fast, cultivators don't think of time the same. A week is not too long, that is extraordinarily fast actually. Did you notice how much laws you have of that spirit?"
"It is a lot, probably more than anything else..."
"That's it, it's just because spirits are so dense, don't worry. And I forgot to tell you but you also need to break the spirit stones in your body, you don't need them any ore and you can directly absorb the laws. The flight, sun, space and sword laws."
"So many? That'll take almost 3 months!"
"It's fine, the next semester if the Sovereign Sect is in 5 months. You'll take three months-ish to absorb the laws, then visit Sealed Solar Tomb. Then two months for anything else, my teaching and your friend you want to bring. They'll need to be brought up to a standard too."
"Hmmm, that doesn't sound too bad. I have something special with my friend, in the Sealed Solar Tomb. You'll see when I show you, he'll definitely be able to qualify."
"I'll await it, I'll leave now. I'll make a new room for you to meditate in. As long as you are in that room, your body will be fed, for now rest."
With that said Mo Huai stood up and bowed, disappearing in a wisp of purple smoke. Hou watched as the smoke dissipated into he air and he fell to the ground.
"So much to do, and so little time. Master says it's long enough, but it doesn't feel like it ughh"
Hou sat there for a second until he jumped up and walked to his bedroom. He took of his robes and detached the wings.
'Today, I'll sleep properly and well. For the next few months it's pure work' he thought to himself.
Then he laid down on the bed, the sun swimming and it turning to night. He closed his eyes and rested, getting ready for his constant cultivating for months.
As he doze of he had one last thought to himself, 'Hopefully I can get faster, then can meet with everyone in Sacrarium again...'.
That might, Hou did not have an especially important dream. It did not give him any fancy technique or revelations. What it did was remind him what he's fighting for.
He had a dream of him in Sacrarium with all the people he loves not just those from the Sealed Solar Tomb. In the dream there was also Araxis in his own body, Yue, Mo Huai, Qi Lan, everyone he had met on his journey so far.
This was why he wanted to grow strong, to create an environment where everyone can surpass themselves and be safe. He wanted to be strong himself but he also wanted to for something with that strength.
