Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: Brooding Crane Eggs

Having spoken, he vanished into nothingness.

After the divine sense that had transformed into dust in the clouds dissipated, the entire courtyard gradually disappeared, leaving only a patch of darkness.

Before long, Torifū slowly opened his eyes, sat up, and looked around, discovering that he was at home.

He wasn't sure if everything that had just happened was a dream or reality.

But then he noticed two lustrous white eggs beside him, and a smile immediately appeared on his face.

"It wasn't a dream; the two crane eggs are still here."

Carefully picking up the two crane eggs and checking that they hadn't been damaged, Torifū felt relieved.

However, a crucial problem then presented itself to Torifū.

There was nothing wrong with the crane eggs themselves, but the issue was, how would he hatch them?

Torifū definitely couldn't do it himself; he couldn't possibly tuck them into his chest and carry them around every day, could he?

An idea popped into Torifū's head: "How about finding an old hen? And asking it to do me a small favor?"

"I remember Aunt Mamiko seems to have old hens at her house. Should I borrow one tomorrow?"

The two families had such a good relationship; Katō Mamiko shouldn't mind. After all, it was just letting her old hen hatch some eggs.

Having the chance to hatch a crane, it wouldn't have lived this life in vain.

Yes, that was the plan!

At this time, Mamiko's old hen was strolling in the yard, completely unaware that it was about to happily become a mother.

If it could speak, it would definitely say, "You're making things difficult for this old hen."

Torifū opened the system store and began searching again, wanting to see if he could find something like an [Ancestor Trial Card].

Unfortunately, he didn't find it. Perhaps, as the ancestor had said, his existence was only to deal with the clan's crisis.

However, Torifū didn't need it that much now anyway; after all, the biggest crisis at the moment had already passed.

There were still a few years before the First Shinobi World War, enough time for Torifū to improve his strength.

Torifū spent 20,000 Peace Points and exchanged them for two [Summoning Seeds] from the system store, leaving him with 19,300 Peace Points.

Having nearly 20,000 should be enough to deal with some sudden events.

A burst of blue fluorescent light flashed, and two blood-red, still pulsating seeds appeared in Torifū's hand.

Their appearance really wasn't lovable. If it weren't for the system's introduction, Torifū would have thought he had bought some forbidden item.

Torifū placed the two heart-like [Summoning Seeds] on the two crane eggs.

The seeds immediately spread out thread-like substances, resembling blood vessels, and enveloped the two crane eggs.

Then they slowly merged into the eggs, leaving only a layer of withered and shriveled skin.

Torifū picked up the seeds' dried skin with a look of disgust and threw it into the trash can.

Then he checked the changes in the two eggs.

Torifū originally thought that using the seeds to evolve the two eggs would be a violent process, but the two crane eggs remained as usual.

Nothing seemed to have happened, except that Torifū could now clearly see a few light red lines on the eggshells.

Even the bursts of rosy light they emitted had become more powerful.

In short, everything seemed fine at the moment.

They were already crane eggs, and now they had been evolved in their life essence through the seeds.

Presumably, their strength after growing up would definitely give Torifū a big surprise.

Now that everything was ready, he was just waiting to borrow an old hen from Aunt Mamiko tomorrow.

After placing the two eggs safely on the inside of the bed, Torifū turned off the light and prepared to get some sleep.

Because of the [Ancestor Trial Card], even though he had fought for so long, Torifū didn't feel any fatigue.

However, thinking that the teacher should be summoning them tomorrow morning, Torifū could only go to bed early in order not to go to the meeting with dark circles under his eyes.

The next morning, it was still the system's alarm clock that provided Torifū with wake-up service.

Although he could sleep a little longer and take a nap, Torifū's spirits were good at the moment, so he got up to wash up.

After washing up and eating breakfast, he looked at the ninjutsu scrolls at home for a while, and it was almost time to gather.

Torifū stood in the courtyard and struck a pose, and then clouds and mist surged as he soared into the sky.

Since mastering this ninjutsu, Torifū had never walked up the Hokage Rock again.

Not only did it save a lot of time, but he could also see the scenery from above.

The people of Konoha Village who got up early were already used to Torifū's flying, and everyone knew that this was the Hokage's disciple.

Being so excellent was also normal.

Sometimes they would wave to Torifū and say good morning or something.

But Torifū's speed didn't allow him to reply.

The journey that should have taken ten or twenty minutes, or even half an hour, only took Torifū five minutes to reach the top of the Hokage Rock.

As a result, everyone hadn't arrived yet; only Torifū himself was there.

Arriving early was also quite good; standing on the top of the Hokage Rock, he could see the sunrise.

After about ten minutes, everyone arrived at the top of the Hokage Rock one after another.

Seeing that Torifū had arrived so early, everyone was very envious.

Who wouldn't like the feeling of flying in the sky? But very few could master flying ninjutsu.

Ordinary ninjas who wanted to fly could only find a bird-type summoning beast.

After everyone arrived, they gathered together to chat. Everyone knew something about the turmoil last night.

However, with Kagami and Naori present, everyone didn't talk too much about this issue.

Torifū could clearly see that Naori had heavy dark circles under her eyes.

After such a thrilling thing had happened last night, no one could sleep well.

"Torifū, you look very energetic," Naori said somewhat tiredly. Not closing her eyes all night had made her feel very unwell now.

"Well, last night I heard the Senju clan say that there was turmoil, so I went to bed early."

Torifū asked gently, "How are you? Are you okay?"

Naori shook her head, barely squeezing out a smile: "I really can't say I'm okay. Being able to see you alive today is already lucky."

Although Naori had also gone on a few missions with her brother this year, it was only when she truly faced the threat of death yesterday that she genuinely felt fear.

She also felt her own weakness and powerlessness.

Hearing this, Torifū patted Naori's shoulder and said some comforting words, not knowing if this would make Naori feel better.

At this time, Hashirama and Tobirama suddenly appeared above the Cliff, and everyone immediately stopped chatting and stood in a row.

"In good spirits, aren't you, kids?" Hashirama laughed.

Yesterday, as soon as he returned to the village, he heard the news of the Uchiha clan's infighting, which gave him a headache.

Uchiha Madara's rebellion against the village had just been barely resolved, and the Uchiha clan had another internal strife.

Fortunately, he heard Tobirama say that the matter had been quelled.

For this reason, Hashirama also summoned Uchiha Shintaro and Uchiha Teruya overnight for talks.

He also achieved a good result, and Hashirama gave the two very high praise and affirmation.

"Sensei, you've arrived," Torifū said with a smile.

Whether it was because of last night or not, there was an unspeakable emotion in Hashirama's eyes when he looked at Torifū.

Hashirama nodded to Torifū, then faced everyone: "The village will be implementing a very important plan in the near future."

[T/N: I used Psychic seeds term previously, but replaced it now with the summoning seeds, if you find any that says psychic, please use paragraph comment so that i can hunt it down. Thanks]
