Buzz buzz beep beep wake up-wake up
buzz, buzz beep beep wake up.
An echoing presence "Wake up!"
Startled, I rolled around awakened by the sound of my alarm going off. I noticed that I'm still in my bed.
Everything around me seems familiar as like nothing has changed or happened.
Perplexed, "It's my room? When did I get here? Wasn't I a dead goner."
Jack hands roam his chest for the scars and finds nothing, but toughened skinned.
Jack glances at the time, on the alarm. It leaves him stunned on how late it is.
Calmly he turns it off. It says it is currently 4 o'clock in the afternoon, focusing his eyes. Crusted over with grime, jack clear his eyes and give himself a few wake up slaps to focus.
"Ok, I'm still in my room, nothing's changed, as if everything is how I always remember it to be."
Was I just having a nightmare? But when are nightmares so painful.
So vivid, I never had one that bad before. Even after deployment. Just then, a headache that feels quite familiar strikes.
That's the burnings sensation that feels like needles in my head, whitch produces for when I wanted answers.
"I've used to have this feeling back in the void."
Eagerly, I begin to focus my mind and my soul. Using the techniques I remember. I try reaching deep inside, trying to find the energy that I've become so used too.
Feeling a fragment of what once was, but it seems that the power that was flowing like hot lava easily smooth as blood. It's faded?
It is now gone-missing? Possibly even locked away maybe? Was it even real?
As I smack my lips together, I can taste old coffee, the same one that is made all the time, especially at Liz's.
"So it wasn't a nightmare?" No
Hoping I'm just losing my mind, wanting it all to be a just a dream. "Did I actually do all those things. No no, thats not it. I'm in my room fine and unharmed.
I've just been overworked and it's my mind saying it needs a vacation." A flash of what happened crosses Jack's mind is hit with a cold shiver traveling across his spine. He jumps out of bed wanting to leave. He grabs a fresh set of clothes and his keys.
He looks around for his phone, but I can't find it.
But also traumatized by the events that keep flashing in my head. "I don't need it. I gotta clear my head"
Breaking the facts down in my head. I am Jackson Smith, Sergeant Jack. Nickname "Blacksmith" A Gamer, Collector, Construction worker and financial management assistant.
Probably have been working too much and need a rest.
Truly in need of a new change of pace. This is becoming too stressful way too weird.
As jack opened the door. The first thing his mind notices new to him is the color. What used to be plain beige walls and a dark Oakwood flooring. Now it is a black and gold carpet with intricate symbols going throughout such as Greek and norse, well as some that I can't even comprehend or recognize. I notice even a couple symbols from various entertainment universes.
The walls the were greyed are now white, but not just normal white. It looks as if it's made of marble.
Sections with empty stands, which looks like are meant to be holding various trophies.
Closing the door and look out sides again, roughly five different times, I keep seeing the same hallway which is not my usual hallway.
Starting to hyperventilate. I decide I needed to calm down. This is too different I've taken three deep breasts in and out. "Okay let's go."
I'm not sure which way to head down the hallway. So I decide to go down to the left. When jack gets to the end he notices a staircase entry.
Although, there's no elevator throughout the building, just various doors.
"Fuck it" Jack opens the door and the stairway loops at least a dozen floors.
"Damn I'm high, what is that, 9 floors I think. Yeah, definitely not in my building. Not unless they remodeled overnight."
Jack slow walks the stairs until he reaches the bottom. Once there he open the ground floor door and finds.
It's an office space, which by the looks of it. Its meant for employees to change out. Separated by gender of corse. Walking throughout the facility a large double door leading to an open cafe.
Various lights turn on automatically.
Prepared for anything jack shields himself prepared for a trick of any kind. Standing there awkwardly in silence. Jack lowers his arms.
Jack,"I don't know what I even thinking, whats going to happen. Really."
I look around it's an empty cafe. Perfectly clean with not even a single spec of dust. The esthetic of this place as a look around is very nice.
Jackson's sharp eyes saw someone already in the corner, munching on some desert.
In a red booth is a man in a blue and black hoodie with a picture of dice and rolls of paper that say deals on them.
It's 'skin' is a dark black with moving sparks of stars and smoke traveling through it's visual extremities. It has no eyes or hair, just a nose and mouth.
Jackson feels a cold sweat, as he remembers who it is.
"Shit, your the 'Reaper' who did all this aren't you"
? The void Reaper.
"Oh Hey, look at you sleeping beauty, you're finally awake.
Come and sit, you probably have so many questions.
Let me give you a break down for everything. Then I can give you the tour.
A large grin stretching across it shadowy visage.
Oh Yes indeed.
