For some reason, I stood up from the chair I was sitting on when I noticed the shocked expressions on Zach and Zion's faces, but Zion was the first to speak.
"Mom, Dad, what are you doing here, and how did you find out about this tribe?"
His suspicious look made me distrust their parents before even getting to know them.
"Zion, what's so difficult about discovering this tribe when it's among the top three? I have to admit that Zach did an amazing job, and we heard that he found his mate, so we came to congratulate him," their father said smoothly, but all I felt was discomfort.
"Well, you're not welcome here," Zach said seriously. I was stunned for a moment before recalling the story I had heard about his father's refusal to give him justice against Zion.
"Zach, you may still be angry, but..." he was saying when Zach cut him off. "Leave, or I will make you."
In that brief heated moment, Iris made a move towards me, but I quickly dodged.
