"I just spoke to Father, and he said Kai's surgery is tomorrow. He plans to hold a huge celebration once the surgery is done." Samuel said to his wife, who has been drinking ever since she came back from dropping Noelle at the airport.
Diana scoffed, "He wishes to hold a celebration after separating my daughter from me?"
"Stop with your nonsense already, Diana. You and I both know that Father loved Noelle, and the only reason she is not here today is because you failed to teach her basic manners. Do you have any idea how that daughter of yours has become a disgrace to this family? Bullying her fellow students, going as far as fighting with another girl for a boy, and who knows what more atrocities she has committed behind our back?"
Diana glared at her husband and said, "My daughter isn't perfect, but neither are your sons. If it was one of your sons who had done the same thing my daughter did, then would your father have sent him away?"
