"Now that the police are investigating Henrick's death, what do you plan to do?" Maxwell asked his grandson over for a game of chess. As soon as Samuel had left the house, he had called Gael to the mansion.
Gael played his next move and replied, "The police has indeed complicated matters, but it has also put the murderer in a tight spot."
Maxwell froze when he heard that; his eyes moved from the game to Gael, and then he frowned. "Do you already know who did it?"
Gael's eyes focused on the game before him, and a cold chuckle left his lips as he replied, "Checkmate. I won again, Grandpa."
"I asked you a question, Gael Ashford. Do you already know who killed your brother?"
Gael finally raised his head to his grandfather's glare and asked, "Why do you think I know who did it?"
"Because I know you, Gael, everything is like a game of chess to you. Whatever it is you are planning, it better not backfire on you."
