My eyes fluttered open. I blinked back my lashes as I tried to adjust to my surroundings. Everywhere looked... Unfamiliar.
I groaned when I made an attempt to swallow my spit. My throat was parched and my eyes burned.
Where was I?
I slowly sat up and looked up. The sky was cloudy with a promise of a downpour, my eyes lazily trailed down to the ground. It was grassy.
i quickly jumped up. Fear clouded my entire being. The place I was didn't look an inch like the vampire kingdom.
from afar, I could hear the chirping of birds and the waves of... Was that a flowing river?
i had no clue as to where the river was, that was if I wasn't hallucinating and there was really one. I still dashed towards the sound of the waves that were getting louder and louder as I approached it.
A smile lifted up the corners of my lips.
Water...
i quickly bent and scoop some into my hands. Dipping my hands into the icy crystal clear water, a soft sigh slipped out through my lips.
