Chapter 77 - Winds of Fortune

Mondstadt's tavern district shimmered under a golden dusk. The wooden roofs trembled faintly as the wind carried roars of laughter and the distant hum of a city alive with song.

Ye Ruo had been the weaver of this joyful storm. His wind-woven will savored the thrill of tales unveiled and the echo of a god's quiet return.

Wendy emerged as the heart of the revelry below. The bard's lyre strummed against the tide of Ye Ruo's boundless craft.

Their fates, forged in freedom and tempered by wit, pulsed with Mond's vibrant soul. Ye Ruo's quill and Wendy's strings reshaped the city's lore.

The tavern glowed stark against the twilight. Its oak walls gleamed with lantern light, and the rich scent of dandelion wine wafted through the air.

Knights' banners fluttered outside. Crimson and gold danced in the breeze, a fleeting guard amid the night's pulse.

Ye Ruo lounged in his study. His cloak swayed as wind curled around him.

"Tales, hit," he murmured. His voice carried a quiet pride.

Wendy sang below in Angel's Share. His green cape swirled with every note.

"Wine, flows!" he cheered. His lyre rang with carefree glee.

The crowd roared around him. Bottles clinked in a chaotic toast.

"Fengshen, you?" they shouted. Awe and joy mingled in their cries.

The system pulsed in Ye Ruo's mind. Its chime rang clear and bright.

[Ding, Wendy's reveal completed.] Host earns Golden Chance Shard.

[Golden Chance Shard: One-fifth of a radiant prize.] It binds luck to the seeker's will, rare as a god's jest.

Ye Ruo's smirk flickered briefly. "Luck, builds," he mused to himself.

A subplot stirred in the streets. Yula strode through Mond's bustling market.

"Gift, his," she muttered. Resolve burned beneath her icy blue gaze.

Amber bounced at her side. "Love, soon?" she teased with a warm grin.

Her brown eyes sparkled bright. Mischief danced in her playful nudge.

Yula's flush crept up fast. "Time, now," she hissed under her breath.

A twist struck the tavern sudden. A drunkard lunged at Wendy's lyre.

"Play, more!" he slurred. His meaty hand swiped at the strings.

Ye Ruo's wind surged downward. A gust shoved the man back hard.

Wendy's laugh rang out free. "Calm, friend!" he chuckled with a wink.

The drunkard sprawled on the floor. Laughter erupted from the gathered crowd.

"Fengshen, swift!" a barmaid gasped. Her tray wobbled as she gaped.

Ye Ruo's wind pulsed once. "Show, his," he murmured with a grin.

A subplot brewed in Lisa's library. Her silk rustled as she sipped tea.

"Boy, stirs?" she purred. Green eyes glinted with lazy curiosity.

"Books, soar," she mused aloud. A smile curled with fond warmth.

The tavern pulsed with life. Wendy's song wove tales of old Mond.

"Boy, fell," he sang soft. His voice trembled with fleeting sorrow.

"Wind, rose," he added low. The crowd hushed at the tender refrain.

A twist struck the wilds beyond. Abyss runes flared near Whispering Woods.

"Knight, here!" a mage snarled. Void pulsed in his twisted grip.

Ye Ruo's gale roared outward. Cyan slashed through the trees like lightning.

The mage crumpled in silence. Dust settled over his broken form.

"Threat, gone," he grunted low. His wind softened as the night stilled.

Wendy's lyre paused briefly. "Ye Ruo, knows," he murmured with a sigh.

A subplot stirred in Jean's office. Her quill scratched with steady grace.

"Knights, rise," she murmured. Duty shone in her weary green eyes.

"Garden, thrives," she added soft. Pride swelled beneath her calm facade.

Ye Ruo's hand flicked the panel. "Chest, now," he decided with firm intent.

The system chimed once more. [Ding, Exquisite Chest opened.]

[Grass Resistant Essential Oil: Shields against grass element harm.] It binds resilience to the user's skin, subtle as a breeze's touch.

Ye Ruo's brow arched high. "Oil, odd?" he rasped with faint surprise.

A twist struck the market loud. "Books, true?" a trader gasped in shock.

"Twins, Thor?" another rasped. Inazuma's tale stirred their wild thoughts.

Yula's ears perked up. "Ye Ruo, again?" she murmured with a frown.

Amber's laugh rang out. "He's, wild!" she cheered with unchecked glee.

The tavern roared with cheer. "Wendy, god!" a patron bellowed loud.

"Wine, free!" another cried. Bottles flew as the night grew wild.

Wendy's grin widened fast. "Drink, all!" he urged with a bright laugh.

A subplot brewed in Diluc's bar. "Crowd, mad?" Charles asked with a tilt.

"Ye Ruo, sparks," Diluc grunted. Respect flickered in his stern red eyes.

"Wind, stirs," he murmured low. His grip tightened on a polished glass.

Ye Ruo's wind pulsed once. "Fame, soars," he vowed to the open sky.

A twist struck the wilds again. Hilichurls roared near the garden's edge.

"Plants, fight!" Ye Ruo barked. His wind carried the order below.

Pea shooters fired fast. Grass bullets slammed into the charging horde.

Hilichurls staggered and fell. Thorny vines erupted to bind the rest.

"Safe, ours," he grunted low. The garden stilled beneath his watch.

Yula's resolve hardened more. "His, mine," she whispered to herself.

Amber's cheer broke through. "Go, soon!" she urged with a bright smile.

A subplot stirred in Kaeya's patrol. "Fools, creep," he chuckled low.

His dagger flashed in quiet. An Abyss mage froze under his icy strike.

"Caught, easy," he smirked. Shadows faded beneath his steady steps.

Rosalia shadowed the alleys. "Guard, tight," she hissed to herself.

Her spear gleamed in silence. Darkness loomed as she moved unseen.

Wendy's song rose higher now. "Mond, free," he sang with bold refrain.

The crowd swayed with him. Tears gleamed in their drunken eyes.

"Boy, lives," he added soft. His voice cracked with buried grief.

A twist struck the tavern fast. A bottle soared at Wendy's head.

"Dodge, now!" Ye Ruo barked. His wind nudged the bard aside.

The bottle crashed on wood. Shards gleamed in the lantern's glow.

"Close, call," Wendy laughed. His lyre strummed through the chaos.

Ye Ruo's wind pulsed swift. "Watch, him," he murmured with a smirk.

A subplot brewed in Liyue's trade. "Books, ship?" a merchant rasped.

"Qinglong, fierce," another mused. Ye Ruo's tale sparked their eager awe.

"Mora, flows," a third grinned. The caravan pulsed with greedy haste.

Jean's voice echoed soft. "Knights, strong," she vowed from her desk.

"Garden, key," she added low. Her green eyes gleamed with bold resolve.

Ye Ruo's hand flicked again. "Shard, one," he murmured with quiet glee.

Four more to go. A gorgeous chest loomed in his mind's eye.

A twist struck the market sudden. "Wendy, him?" a child squealed in awe.

"God, drinks?" a vendor gasped. The bard's fame spread like wildfire.

Yula's hands shaped her gift. Dough gleamed in Amber's cozy kitchen.

"His, soon," she murmured low. Ice pulsed faintly in her tender touch.

Amber's nod came quick. "Win, him!" she urged with a warm smile.

Wendy's lyre sang on. "Wind, binds," he crooned with gentle grace.

The tavern sighed with life. Joy pulsed in every sloshed glass.

Ye Ruo's legend soared high. Teyvat's winds sang his bold refrain.
