As the world watched, thousands of invaders all rose up once more. Once enemies of the Weapons they now stood cut from the same cloth. Having bodies of metal and eyes of glowing embers.
In silence they waited, their numbers enough to give the actual invaders pause. The humans present all had conflicting thoughts about the matter. Some celebrated the arrival of a powerful Earth faction, one that stood to defend them when all others had fled.
But some knew that things were not so simple.
For one, there were humans among the Weapons. And they were treated the same as the monsters. Fear and paranoia began to spread among the people. However, most could not even voice them out.
"What if they turn on us next?" they thought. "What if they abandon us?" others fretted. For such reasons, everyone stood silently both in terror and awe. This was the turning point. The Crucible would never be the same—whether the galaxy was ready or not.
