Chapter 11 - Harm:2

"Too bad I'm not your teacher, other wise I'd be having a word with your parents!" Rain was fed up with Emma's attitude. This whole time she was defending herself, regardless of the outcomes of her over reactions.

"Ukh, whatever!" She rolled her eyes then grabbed her backpack and headed towards the door.

"Hmm!! Why did she even show up?! She usually doesn't come on her transformation! Uugh!" She groaned.

"Why does her parents even let her come during this period? If she was my child I'll be too embarrassed to show her ouside! Egh!" She walked through the door then headed to the hallway. However, as she took a step, something held her by the calf.

"Eh?!" She looked down to find herself tied with strings of smoke.

"What the…?" She followed them with her eyes and stopped when she spotted the source.

"Oh, God…!" In pure horror, Emma dropped her backpack as she froze in place.

With her eyes wide open, she observed Dina's thick smoke surrounding her with a bunch of strings swinging in the air.

"Forgive me, Mother…" As her vision went dark, Nightmare slowly came out of her back.

Its head popped out first with its long tongue sticking out of its mouth and its set of teeth on its face, after that, many long arms and claw-looking hands came out.

Finally, as it formed its nightmarish full existence, it loudly growled with rage, shaking the whole room.

"UGH!!" Everyone screamed while closing their ears.

Dina stood still while her right eye shone red, bloody red, and stared dead into Emma's eyes.

"What on God's earth..." Mumbled Rain as he slowly backed away. The girls screamed their lungs out from the terrors they had encountered and sprinted out of the classroom.

Emma, on the other hand, was too stunned to move a muscle. Her legs had failed her, forcing her to face a living nightmare and watch as it slowly stretched its arms toward her with sharp, slicing claws.

She shook in fear and her face rained with sweat. Her heartbeats were loud enough for her to hear, and her heart almost broke her chest bones as it beat with force.

While her eyes watched the claws growing near her, her faith had abandoned her. All that remained was surrender.

"P-please..." Emma could hardly speak, unable to move, for the strings were locking her in.

"Do I disgust you?" Dina's voice was no longer hers. It was a

fusion of a deep and high pitch.

"N-no! Please, I'm s–sorry…!"

"Would you like to see how disgusting I am…? "

"Please… don't!" Emma's sweat slowly slid down her forehead as she shook in terror.

"Disgusting. " Its voice deepened.

"H–huh…?"

"That's how you feel, right?"

"No, no… I–"

"Want to know how I feel?"

Emma was hesitant to speak.

"You disgust me!" Nightmare launched its claws at Emma, aiming at her

heart.

"NO! PLEASE! NO!"

"UGH!" She froze in place, with her eyes opened wide, almost bursting out of their sockets, shaking intensely.

"Hu–huh…" She heavily breathed.

Slowly, she brought them down.

"Hu–huh… w–wha–?"

Unexpectedly, the attack was blocked. A chair flew in the air and chieled her from the slicing claw. It went through the wood and got blocked on the way.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!" The teacher screamed.

Nightmare slowly brought its hand back, observed it for a moment, then shook it around, trying to get the chair out.

"I CAN'T MOVE!! I'M CHAINED!" She pointed at her leg with her voice shaking.

He looked at the strings of smoke holding her calf then thought quickly.

"HEY! BIG GUY! OVER HERE!" Rain threw another chair, but this time aiming at Dina. Nightmare fumed as it saw it flying towards her.

In a flash, the flying thing was shattered in the air, and its wooden parts splattered on the floor.

"YOU DARE…" Standing tall, Nightmare stared at the man with a pure urge for murder, then switched its attention to him, freeing Emma from her chains.

"Huh!" She gasped then quickly grabbed her backpack and ran away screaming in fear.

Nightmare stared at the teacher for a moment, then filled the room with smoke, darkening the place. Sneakingly, smoky strings rolled around Rain's wrists.

"Hu–huh! Ugh!" He flinched as he was quickly hung up to the whiteboard.

The creature crept toward Rain with unsettling speed, then launched into the air in a blur, crashing down with a bone-rattling thud that shook the ground.

"You sure have some guts!" It growled as it shaped its claws.

Rain observed them as they turned from harmless strings of smoke to solid slicing daggers.

"Let's see how they'd look like on the floor."

"Heh…! Ha–ah…!" The poor one tried his best to escape from the strings but failed to do so. "So that next time…"

Nightmare then raised its claws in the air.

"Oh, right—" It aimed for the man's stomach.

"There won't be a next time!" Then launched.
