Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: Achievement Explosion

Chapter 88: Achievement Explosion

Dusk was falling, and the Forbidden Forest was shrouded in thick darkness.

Dylan's figure appeared particularly abrupt in this desolate place. He stepped into the grass with uneven strides, and nearby, a unicorn lay half-reclined on the ground, occasionally raising its neck to look at Dylan.

On the grass, the unicorn's blood meandered, its color dark and almost black, as if stained by endless curses.

Dylan slowly crouched down, his hands trembling slightly, not out of fear, but a complex emotion surging in his heart.

This was the instinctive emotion that the malice within the unicorn allowed normal life to feel.

"Wingardium Leviosa!"

Dylan's magic enveloped the blood, and a chill seemed to penetrate his magic and drill straight into his heart.

He controlled the Levitation Charm, beginning to collect the blood, carefully scooping it up with a brand-new earthenware pot.

The sound of each drop falling into the pot carried an unusual and intense malice, slightly shaking within the pot, as if alive and trying to break free from its confinement.

Collecting every last drop of blood around him into the pot, Dylan stood up and turned back to look at the unicorn, which could now barely stand on its own.

"It's time to say goodbye." Dylan shook the earthenware pot in his hand, a smile curving his lips. "Thank you for your generosity."

Unicorn: "Whinny..."

Having communicated with Coal Ball for a long time, even if Dylan didn't know the specific meaning of these magical creatures' usual calls, he could understand the general idea.

"Are you worried that Voldemort will come looking for trouble with me?"

He chuckled wryly. "Don't worry, Voldemort won't know who I am—as long as you don't mention my existence to anyone."

Speaking of this, Dylan couldn't help but pause slightly. "Besides, the current Voldemort is much easier to deal with than during the goblin rebellion back then."

"So don't worry about me. Take good care of your injuries. I hope that next time I come, I can get more of your blood."

Dylan grinned.

The unicorn's large eyes immediately gave the human child, who only showed his hands, a look of disdain.

Wrapped up so tightly, even if it wanted to mention this little brat to others, how could it describe him?

Did it see a pair of hands raise up and release dozens of evil spells, drive away a demon, and save it?

"Whinny!" The unicorn raised its head and nodded its chin at Dylan, as if signaling him to leave quickly.

"So eager to chase me away, really. I'm not going to bleed you now anyway." Dylan pouted, then waved his wand, and several potion bottles appeared before them.

"This is a blood-replenishing potion, this is Murtlap essence, but your wounds have basically healed, this can only give you some relief."

Dylan poured the potions one by one directly onto the unicorn's body. "And this, a mood-soothing potion. This stuff is not easy to brew. I gave a bottle to someone else before."

"He originally didn't want to accept it, but I bet he used it after taking it back. He was clearly not as irritable when lecturing me later."

As Dylan spoke, he kept rubbing his hands on the unicorn's body.

Then, from time to time, he plucked a few strands of the unicorn's hair.

This was also a good thing; many potions needed it.

"Look at you, why are you still shedding hair? Really." Dylan glanced at the unicorn sideways. "No choice, I can only barely help you clean up."

Originally, the unicorn was somewhat resistant and unwilling to Dylan's touch.

However, after it weakly resisted twice, Dylan directly slapped its butt, almost making it go berserk and wanting to resist even more.

It's just that...

Couldn't beat him, couldn't beat him~

Helpless, it had no choice but to submit to Dylan's "tyranny," snorting through its large nostrils twice and obediently extending its neck.

Letting Dylan smear those colorful and strangely smelling potions on the wounds on its body.

"Okay, that's about it." Dylan smeared almost all the potions on the unicorn's body, then put away all the bottles and jars.

Just then, an anxious voice came from not far away.

"Who's there? What have you done to the unicorn? I warn you, stop immediately! Otherwise, I will report directly to Headmaster Dumbledore! You won't be able to escape!"

Dylan looked up, recognizing Hagrid's thick voice.

Clearly, even though the surroundings had been silenced by Quirrell plus his own double silencing charm, the commotion just now was too great and still attracted the attention of the groundskeeper, Hagrid.

The unicorn also turned its head, listened for a while, then turned back to look at Dylan. "Whinny!"

"Don't worry, I'm still wearing the invisibility cloak, Hagrid can't find me." Dylan smiled and retracted his hands.

Immediately afterward, he completely disappeared.

"Hmm, next time I hope you can let me study your sacred magic, little fellow. See you next time."

Unicorn: Whinny!

Who exactly was this little brat calling "little fellow"?

The unicorn didn't know if Dylan had left or not, but it waited in place for a while. Seeing no movement around, it propped itself up and walked towards Hagrid's direction.

Dylan watched the unicorn meet up with Hagrid. Hagrid rushed anxiously to the blood-covered unicorn, nervously checking it over and over, only to find that the unicorn had no wounds at all, and was immediately stunned.

"Little one, did you defeat the person who attacked you?"

The unicorn's face almost darkened.

Why did everyone call it "little one"? It wasn't little at all!

Moreover, what did "the person who attacked it" mean?

Although it did look like it was, no, it really was attacked, no, it was just hurt!

"Whinny!"

Dylan quietly watched for a while, didn't stay in place, but quietly left the Forbidden Forest.

This foray into the Forbidden Forest had yielded great rewards. He couldn't wait to go back and carefully check all his achievement rewards.

Wearing the invisibility cloak he had spent ten thousand Galleons to make, Dylan avoided Filch's patrols, turned into a shadow, and hurried back to his dormitory.

"It's a good thing I had a divination premonition before going to sleep this time. Otherwise, if I missed this opportunity, I wouldn't have been able to collect the materials from the unicorn, and I wouldn't have had the chance to beat up Voldemort."

This time, because of Quirrell's actions, he had established a good relationship with the unicorn, adding a stable supply channel for rare unicorn materials.

Moreover, by beating up Voldemort and saving the unicorn, he had unlocked quite a few achievements!

And the intensive training task for the Cruciatus Curse had also been beautifully completed~

Casting a Scourgify, Dylan lay on the bed without summoning Coal Ball again.

—It was probably already asleep with Arno.

Dylan raised his eyes to look at the system panel.

Several system notifications had popped up when he had just dunked on Voldemort and Quirrell, but at that time, he was busy concentrating and frantically throwing dark magic, lest he lose face in front of little Voldy.

The result was unexpected. The current little Voldy was completely vulnerable, utterly vulnerable~

[Unlock Requirement]: Use an Unforgivable Curse to attack a Hogwarts professor.

[Achievement Reward]: Max-level Dark Magic +1 ——————

"Why is it dark magic again..." Dylan's vision darkened.

The previous Attacking a Professor series at least rewarded him with beginner and intermediate spells. He originally thought this time it would give him an advanced spell, but it turned out to be dark magic.

"Forget it, forget it, I already know so many dark magic spells, one more won't hurt." Dylan shook his head and accepted it calmly.

The current him had already made significant progress in magic, completely different from when he had only simply mastered a few max-level dark magic spells.

He no longer worried about having learned max-level dark magic—after all, no one in the school could detect it.

Plus, he wouldn't have his mind twisted by the side effects of dark magic. So for Dylan now, no matter what kind of spell it was, as long as it was max-level, it would be very useful to him.

He could use one max-level spell to understand by analogy and quickly master other different spells.

This was something he had already experimented with and found to be very effective.

"Second one."

Dylan continued to look down.

[Achievement]: Your Words are So Toxic They Reached the Dark Lord's Face

[Description]: You, this audacious little wizard, dared to point your finger and insult the notorious Voldemort! —Oh, right, he doesn't seem to have a nose~

[Unlock Requirement]: Make Voldemort break down from your verbal attacks!

[Achievement Reward]: Max-level Spell – Humicurse (Hurry Up and Be Ashamed)!

——————

"I just cursed little Voldy and Quirrell a couple of times, and that made him break down? Probably not..."

Dylan didn't think the things he had just said were that vicious.

—He had held back a lot, okay!

He was just afraid of angering Voldemort to death!

If Voldemort revived from other Horcruxes, that would be a real pain—he wouldn't even be able to find Voldemort to farm achievements.

"Whatever, it just goes to show that little Voldy is just little Voldy, a small-minded man who just likes to break down."

Dylan ignored some of the achievement system's descriptions.

Sometimes the things this guy said were quite unreliable.

He checked the achievement reward this time.

"Shame Charm?"

Dylan felt the information about this spell flood into his mind, and he suddenly understood.

"This... this is the Shame Charm? Shouldn't this be called the Insult Charm?"

Dylan's lips twitched.

This spell was somewhat similar to Rictusempra; both could forcibly pull the enemy into a certain state.

However, Rictusempra's effect was to make the target laugh uncontrollably.

But Hurry Up and Be Ashamed was...

Dylan's mind conjured up the practice scene of this spell.

Voldemort hovered high in the air, his iconic black robes billowing wildly in the strange currents of air, making rustling sounds.

He cast the Shame Charm at Voldemort, and then—

Voldemort's originally ferocious and ugly face suddenly jolted.

His proudly raised arrogant chin slowly lowered, the ferocity and cruelty completely dissipating, replaced by a deep sadness.

Inappropriate waves of sorrow formed wrinkles on his ugly face, looking bizarre no matter how you looked at it.

His lips trembled, and his voice even carried a sob.

"Oh! I'm so sorry!"

"I actually killed so many people! Hundreds of them! I'm so evil, I'm so ashamed!"

"Please, insult me, fiercely!"

Dylan snapped out of this bizarre and creepy scene, clicking his tongue.

"果然! This spell is not serious at all! What kind of Shame Charm is this? Shame is shame, why would it beg me to curse it?"

He sighed slightly in his heart.

"Moreover, as a Dark Lord, he's only killed a few hundred people? Utterly pathetic!"

Recalling his own glorious achievements, Dylan decided to throw Voldemort to the Ravenclaw table.

Go drink some juice!

But jokes aside, in reality, this spell greatly interested Dylan.

Because unlike Rictusempra, which directly and forcibly controlled a person's expression, this directly interfered with a person's mind!

Spells that could affect the human mind were rare.

There were only a few, such as the Imperius Curse, the Obliviate Charm, the Confundus Charm...

Each one was incredibly powerful.

This Shame Charm...

It seemed unreliable, but in actual combat, it would definitely be a powerful trump card!

Dylan took a deep breath, letting the headache caused by learning another max-level spell subside, and then looked at the next dark magic... no, the achievement he had unlocked.

"My brain is really not working well." Dylan pursed his lips.

——————

[Achievement]: Slam Dunking Voldemort!

[Description]: Is the new generation of Dark Lords going to end the myth of the old generation of Dark Lords? Indeed, no one can remain strong forever, not even the Dark Lord!

[Unlock Requirement]: Make Voldemort your defeated opponent, a mere rat who can only flee!

[Achievement Reward]: "Dark Parasitism Analysis Notes"

——————

"A book?"

Dylan was taken aback.

He looked at the title of the book and paused slightly.

Dark Parasitism, Analysis Notes?

"Is it about how to perform dark parasitism?"

Mentioning the word "parasitism," Dylan immediately thought of Voldemort.

"Although it's just a book, the content should be quite good."

Dylan didn't take out the book directly, but even though he was interested, it was very late now.

He loved to learn, but that didn't mean he would get up in the middle of the night to read.

Dylan skipped over a few scattered small achievements—they were all just giving him Galleons.

He glanced over them and looked at the last achievement.

——————

[Achievement]: Scamming a Unicorn

[Description]: You've even managed to scam a unicorn! Many have tried, but you are one of the few to succeed!

[Unlock Requirement]: Use superb deception to defraud a unicorn and obtain materials from it.

[Achievement Reward]: Holy Unicorn Essence Blood (10ml)

——————

"Holy Unicorn?" Dylan was stunned. "What's the difference between this and a regular unicorn? Is it just a nickname for a regular unicorn, or is there really such a thing?"
