I let out a throaty laugh and was soon joined by Clara who seemed far too happy to be with me at last.
We were in the sitting room, Clara and I with glasses of both soft and spirit drinks. Of course I couldn't consume alcohol since I was a nursing mother but Clara could, and she was making really good use of the opportunity. She had arrived about thirty minutes ago, and spent close to twenty minutes asking for forgiveness.
I forgave her. In fact I realized that I had forgiven her a long time ago, but I was still careful. Maybe it's the tendency of a friend turned enemy to turn enemy again or Leonard's doubts had somehow rubbed off on me, but I found myself weighing every single thought before saying it out to her.
"I heard you had triplets." She said after another round of laughter had died down. For a moment I was tempted to say no, but she already knew, and so does the media. The only thing the media didn't have were the photos, and they wouldn't get them.
