The {spider-faced demon}, having been attacked, abandoned Inosuke and targeted Tanjiro.
Without hesitation, it swung its other arm at Tanjiro.
Still reeling from the shock and struggling against the {demon}, Tanjiro had no time to react.
At the critical moment, Inosuke swung his blades, striking the {demon}'s wrist, deflecting the attack.
The result was the same as Tanjiro's; Inosuke couldn't sever the arm, only making a shallow cut.
"Such a hard arm!!!" Inosuke gritted his teeth, maintaining pressure. If he relaxed, Tanjiro would be hit.
The {spider-faced demon}, restrained by Tanjiro and Inosuke, unleashed a burst of energy, sending them both flying.
Tanjiro landed on a rock partially submerged in the water; Inosuke fell into the river.
"Don't approach my family!" the {demon} roared, charging at Tanjiro. Tanjiro, without hesitation, leaped sideways toward the riverbank.
The {demon}'s punch shattered the rock where Tanjiro had been standing.
Because Tanjiro had sidestepped instead of jumping back, the {demon} couldn't follow up.
This was a lesson learned from Inosuke—never allow a direct confrontation. Within its range, resistance was futile.
"My attacks are useless. What do I do? What should I do?" Tanjiro worried on the riverbank. If they could damage the {demon}, they could use strategy and Inosuke's strength to defeat it.
But they couldn't inflict effective damage, leaving Tanjiro frustrated.
"Where are you looking? I'm your opponent! Take this!" Inosuke, seeing the {demon} attack Tanjiro, became annoyed.
He felt disrespected. His pride couldn't tolerate being underestimated.
He climbed out of the water and leaped into the air, using gravity to deliver a powerful strike.
