The twelve of them made their way through the forest of black trees, and Xavier couldn't help but check his Stigma Window.

'Well, that was short lived, but I spent my points well. Especially with the vitality.' Xavier thought, a bit disappointed that he had spent all the points he gained from the monster stones, but his purchases were necessary. Especially on his vitality. His stomach wound was pretty much healed after he increased it by seven. Although now, he felt very hungry, despite eating less than an hour prior.
"Stop here for a sec." Xavier said, and they all stopped. Xavier cleared the branches off his hidden stash, and took out the four remaining bags, throwing two to Mickey and Maria, one each, and the other two to the recruits.
"A-are those guns?" One of the male recruits asked as he caught the bag.
"Yeah, but we don't have any ammunition." Bella said
The twelve of them continued towards the river, when they ran into five imps. Unlike the previous ones, they were not perched on a tree, but flying in the sky. Looking down, the monsters quickly spotted them, and screeched, before flying towards them.
"I'll take care of them." Xavier said, walking forward, while everyone looked at his back with shock and concern, except for Mickey. He has seen Xavier done some really crazy stuff before, and he even hunted ten of these monsters to keep him alive, so he believed he could take on five of them on his own. Unfortunately, the others didn't have his confidence.
"But, you're still injured from yesterday." Maria said, looking at his stomach, which was smeared with blood.
"It's pretty much completely healed already." Xavier said, and Rosie narrowed her eyes at him. Her own abdominal injury she got two days ago still hadn't fully healed yet, despite her vitality being at 14. So how high was Xavier's for it to heal within a day. And where did he get so many points to invest in his vitality, because from what she observed, he has invested a lot in speed.
The creatures were getting close now, and everyone was drew their weapons as Xavier walked forward. He held his new daggers in his handa, and once the closest imps got even closer, he threw his daggers. The daggers cut through the air with amazing speed, and within a second they were impaled into the first two imps neck.
Next, Xavier kicked off the ground, and pulled the daggers out of the imps neck before they could even touch the ground, and jumped into the air. The next two imps barely had any time to react, as before they could even slash their claws forward, their neck were already spurting blood. The last imps tried to fly away, and Xavier had no means to chase after it in the air, so he threw his dagger as hard as he could. With the distance between the two of them, the accuracy was a bit off, but the dagger impaled itself in the imps shoulder.
"No you don't." Xavier said as he landed on the ground, and he jumped smoothly from tree to tree as he chased after the imp. Crouching low on a tree branch, Xavier pushed off with all his strength, surprising the imp as he appeared two meters below it. Throwing his next dagger, the imp was impaled in the neck, causing it to start losing altitude and Xavier smiled. Landing on another tree branch, he kicked off again and snatched the imp out of the air. The imp struggled weakly, and Xavier ripped the daggers out of the imp's body, causing even more blood to splash onto his body.
'Good thing I plan to take a bath today.' Xavier thought as he walked towards the others with the imp's corpse in his hand. The others looked at him, wide eyed, and he dropped the corpse on the ground.
"You're a fucking beast dude. Are the rest of you that strong?" One of the recruits asked
"No, except for maybe those two." Rosie said, pointing to Mickey and Maria. Maria flinched back a bit at the intensity of the recruits' stare.
"Come on, let's hurry and carve out these monster stones and get a move on." Xavier said, as he carved into the body of the imps. The others helped as well, and soon they were making their way towards the river once more. They could soon hear the rushing of water, and they excitedly ran forward. Most of them have never seen a clean natural water source, and even the ones that have, the 'clean' natural water source wasn't as clean as this river. They suddenly came to halt as they stared at a group of three, tall, grotesque humanoids with large fish heads, razor sharp teeth, and a thick fish tail.
Their scales were of different colours, with one having blue scales, and the others having purple and deep red respectively. Looking at these grotesque creatures, Xavier grinned.
"You came back, and you brought friends with you to watch me murder you." He said, looking at the blue scaled Aquatic Dweller E-. And it growled at him as it charged.
