Morning barely crept in through the blackout curtains. The room still smelled of heat and sin of sweat slicked skin and the delicious ache of the night before. Adrian hadn't moved from where he lay tangled with Kai, arm curled possessively around his waist, fangs brushing against the omega's shoulder like a lover's promise or a predator's threat.
Kai stirred, a soft, sore sigh escaping him. His thighs still trembled, and his neck was littered with bites each one a mark of Adrian's need, his obsession. He wasn't just claimed. He was branded.
"I can feel you watching me," Kai mumbled, still heavy with sleep. "You don't blink when you stare like that."
Adrian didn't smile. Not really. But there was a gleam in his eyes, hungry and soft all at once. "Because you're too fucking beautiful to waste a second not memorizing you."
"Cheesy bastard," Kai whispered, but the way he turned into Adrian's chest, the way he pressed a kiss against his heart, betrayed him.
Adrian's hand slid lower, fingertips brushing over the bruises on Kai's hips. "Did I go too far last night?" he asked, though his voice held no regret only reverence.
Kai smirked, that little bratty spark back in his eyes despite the aftershocks still pulsing through him. "Not far enough."
That was all it took.
Adrian flipped them effortlessly, pressing Kai down into the mattress again, lips descending in a slow, taunting kiss. This time, there was no rush. No haze of heat to cloud their minds. This was worship, but it was wicked every stroke of tongue, every grind of hips, a slow unraveling.
"You want me to bite you again?" Adrian murmured, breath hot against Kai's ear. "Mark you somewhere new?"
Kai's body arched beneath him, offering, begging.
"Yes," he breathed. "Bite me slowly this time…"
And Adrian did.
He bit with devotion. He moved with power. And Kai? Kai shattered like a prayer, like a promise, like a boy who finally belonged.
