The screeching of metal echoed behind them as Officer Kang stepped forward, her voice sharp and accusing.
Kang (coldly):
"Your hand didn't even tremble. That shot? Too precise. Evelyne is you. That girl was just a decoy.
And here I was… believing your little 'amnesia' story."
Cha-yeon blinked, caught off guard.
Cha-yeon:
"What?! We've known each other for two days. What the hell are you talking about?"
Kang smirked, stepping closer, lowering her voice.
Kang:
"It all makes sense now. The face, the training, the way you lead…
You've just been hiding in plain sight. But don't worry—this won't go to waste."
Something shifted in Cha-yeon's eyes.
A flicker of awareness. Cold. Calculating.
Icy (stepping in, voice like frost):
"She's not an officer."
Cha-yeon (whispering, as realization dawns):

Icy:
"This was a trap. And she works for her."
Kang's expression changed—just enough to confirm everything.
Her hand subtly reached for something at her belt. Not a badge. A trigger.
Icy (calmly, dangerously):

In a blink, Cha-yeon — no, Icy — stepped forward, twisted Kang's wrist, and pinned her to the wall.
Icy:
"You've been sloppy, Kang. Real agents don't talk this much."
Kang hissed:
"You're too late. She knows you're awake now."
Icy (leaning in):
"Then let her know I'm coming."
She knocked Kang out cold with a single calculated hit, and looked down at her hand — steady.
Too steady.
Cha-yeon (faintly, like a whisper):
"I'm… afraid of myself."
Icy (softly):
"I don't have to be. That's my job."
Cha-yeon:
"what?!"
Icy:
"what?"
Cha-yeon:
"It feels like I've been doing this all my life. Huh?"
Icy:
"We recently agreed to work as an agent, and... is there a problem?"
Cha-yeon:
"Actively? What is the problem?"
Icy:
"yeah, what is the problem?"
Their sweet conversation is covered by a call from Mom.
Icy:
"Tell her I've been kidnapped."
Cha-yeon:
"Poof~ there's no time."
She picks up the phone and waits for a miracle to happen. Everything will return to normal by itself.
Forcefully, Cha-yeon picks up from behind and answers the call at her place.
Icy:
"Han Temu?! Perfect!"

"Temu? What is he doing here?"
Ot answers the phone and tells her mother that they went to have tea.

Cha-yeon breathed a sigh of relief.
Icy:
"No, it turns out she wanted to frame me by accusing me of everything Evelyn accuses me of."

The police did not question her and her husband. They drove home in silence in the car.
