Osvaldo groaned turning his head slightly to the door. He tried to remain calm even if the only thing on his mind right now was to kill whoever had disturbed his time.
"Miss Penny," Hughes yelled from outside the door. She had searched Penny's room earlier to not see her only for the maids to say Penny had come this way. So Hughes had come to the lab to fetch her.
Barnaby had told her about the plan he overheard while reporting the news of the day to Abby and Greg. Though he had no idea which maid had sold their mistress out since they had sent a lot of maids to watch her that day.
"I... I have to get this."
Penny rose immediately, hurrying to the door. This was her cue to leave, at least God had saved her from the hands of the man now staring at her like a meal.
Penny opened the door gently, "Hughes." She called.
