Su Meilin was the first to get into the bathtub. She poured in a generous amount of soap, making the water froth with thick, fragrant bubbles.
The surface rippled as she settled on the left side, her head half-submerged beneath the water. Bubbles floated lazily over her face.
She was sulking.
Zhao Yiming sighed and slipped into the tub across from her, letting the warm water ease his muscles as he looked at her adorable, moody face.
"Are you angry with me?"
"Don't act dumb! I know you knew what I was trying to do!" she huffed, crossing her arms and turning her head away, her cheeks puffed out in a pout.
He exhaled again, voice soft. "You've had a long day—mentally and physically. I didn't want to take advantage of you."
"What do you mean, take advantage? I wanted to do it!" she insisted, glaring at him.
"I don't know…" he murmured. "Your emotions are all over the place. Instead of using sex to forget everything, I thought maybe… we could talk it out. If you want to."
