The car slowly stopped at the entrance of the villa.
"William, I'm getting off the car."
Iris Harris softly said.
William Moore looked at her. Her pale face carried deep exhaustion. He felt a bit of heartache but was unable to do anything for her.
"Okay."
He nodded, watching her as she got off the car. Out of the corner of his eye, he seemed to see something. As he looked up, he caught a fleeting icy shadow by Iris Harris's bedroom window.
His eyes instantly narrowed as, in the moment Iris turned around, William grasped her wrist.
"William?"
Iris was startled, looking at him with some confusion, "What's going on? Is there anything else?"
With a hint of forbearance in his delicate eyebrows, William slowly released her hand after a long moment, saying to Iris, "…If anything happens, remember to call me. No matter what happens, I will come to help you."
