Chapter 45 - Caught (1)

As she lie in her bath tub her hand unconsciously touch the veins patting them as she caught her reflection in the water—and paused.

Her body had changed.

Subtly… but noticeably.

Tighter. Softer.

Her curves were more defined. Her breasts fuller. Her skin smoother, glowing with a faint, alluring luster.

She didn't need a mirror to know she was more beautiful than before.

She could feel it.

If she was beautiful before… now she was breathtaking.

And it wasn't vanity speaking—it was truth. She was a demoness, after all. One who walked the path of lust.

It was only natural.

The more she embraced her power, the more her body evolved into its ideal form—one designed to allure, tempt, and destroy.

A wicked smirk touched her lips as she gazed down at the quiet corruption on her chest.

"…You're finally behaving, huh?" she murmured. "Good. Because we've got a long way to go."

It was a given—each time she advanced in rank, her body would change, becoming more and more beautiful.

Rie didn't particularly care about her appearance. Strength was what mattered most to her.

But she was a demoness.

And in her case, beauty itself was a weapon—one of her most powerful.

Rie had long mastered the art of manipulation. In her past life, she had seen countless things, met countless people. No matter how powerful someone appeared… everyone had a weakness.

From the moment she regressed, she began weaving her web again—subtly manipulating those around her, bending situations to her advantage.

She, who never cried, had cried in front of her brother… telling him how much she hated him.

That guilt he felt?

It was intentional.

She knew it would soften him, make him hesitate. He wouldn't be as aggressive toward her now. Wouldn't bother her too much.

It was the same with the Demon King.

From the very first time she met him, she had asked:

Whether he hate her or not?

She wasn't foolish enough to believe she could manipulate the Demon King—the one who stood at

the very peak of the world.

No, she never even tried.

The reason she asked him such a question… was simple.

To gauge his reaction.

And his response?

It surpassed her expectations.

Not only did he not reject her—he invited her to dinner. He overlooked her blatant disrespect toward the guards. Ignored the absurd amount of money she spent under his name.

In fact, he didn't even revoke her access to his personal card.

From the very beginning… she had been testing the waters.

She had knelt before him. Begged like a mutt.

And she knew exactly what she was doing.

He must have felt disgusted by the sight. He must have seen a reflection of himself in her—kneeling, powerless, desperate…

At the mercy of someone else.

Others would find that shameful.

But to Rie?

Shame was just another superficial emotion. A mask.

She could be anything the situation demanded.

A naive girl.

A heartless monster.

A compassionate savior.

A seductive bitch.

It didn't matter.

As long as it served her purpose.

That was the true meaning of being a demoness of lust.

Not just beauty. Not just seduction.

Control.

True lust wasn't about pleasure—it was about desire. And desire, when manipulated, could become a leash strong enough to bind even the mightiest souls.

It is said:

"One who conquers lust can conquer the world."

And she agreed.

Lust was the greatest enemy of all.

A person consumed by it… would slowly lose everything—dignity, reason, purpose.

And she would take it all.

Every last thing.
