«Barry, this is weird, check around. - A man's voice sounded, apparently Cisco's.
Flash nodded and started running around, the speed was amazing, maybe I can do that one day too... After a few seconds he stopped and shook his head:
«Nothing, no sign of the Destroyer.
Then he seemed to realize something and turned his attention to the smiling me.
«What are you doing here? Who the hell are you? And what's that in your hands?
Finally, his head turned on. He didn't know what I looked like, only Cisco and Caitlin did, and the other one didn't know who I really was. Flash's suit only has a transmitter, no camera, so they have no idea who I am.
I continued to make a fool of myself:
«I was walking here, I heard a red flash was seen here, well, I mean you Flash, so I came to see.
The guy's face didn't change, he kept looking at me suspiciously. At that moment, Caitlin's voice came from his transmitter:

After I said that, Barry was struck by lightning:

I spread my arms out to the sides and bowed slightly:

There was silence on Flash's side of the team, the speedster himself exhaling heavily and asking:

Barry didn't understand and asked:

The guy's eyes widened in shock, and then he started to back away quickly. He was a scientist, so he knew to stay away from such a substance.
I glanced at Flash, and grinned. He didn't seem particularly worried, but he was probably a little nervous. His heartbeat is unusual, so it's hard to read it. I guess it's like that for all super-speed wielders. But the look on his face was enough for me to realize that the guy didn't know what to do. To him, I was somewhat of a criminal, but at the same time, I wasn't. Plus, I saved his father, so that played a role, too. And he doesn't know my powers, so it'd be stupid to rush into battle. Though I doubt he takes that into account, it would be too unlike him....

Breaking the ampoule in two, I sat down and concentrated, trying to feel the radiation and absorb it. Flash didn't bother me; I'd feel it if he decided to attack, and then he'd have a hard time. He's fast, but that doesn't mean I'm incapable of fighting back. I have the strength of several meta-humans, fighting me wouldn't be smart.
But the guy stood there and wouldn't leave, apparently he wanted to see what would happen next, or maybe he wanted to ask something else. A conversation was heard on the other side of the transmitter:
«It's amazing, I didn't even think it was possible! - Stein exclaimed enthusiastically.
«Uh, doctor, what do you mean? - Barry didn't understand.
Cisco was no less delighted with his discovery:
«Barry, don't you understand? This guy, his powers are amazing. No sooner had Roshtain died than he had his powers, how could that be a coincidence? I mean, do meta people have the same powers?
«You mean... - Barry was starting to guess.
«That's right! His powers... I don't know how, but he seems to be able to take the powers of other meta-humans. Of course, they don't seem to survive, but it's incredible!
Stein agreed:
«Right, I think that's why he needs Uranium Fluoride, he wants to test his new power.
Barry exhaled tensely:
«What am I supposed to do? Do I leave it as it is, or...
Everyone on the other side fell silent, and I finally began to understand how to absorb radiation. But I was still ready to attack. Now I wondered what Flash would decide....
