For the last week everything was fine, no one was bothering me and I didn't touch anyone. All my free time was spent practicing. Unfortunately, all the radiation at the waste treatment plant had run out. I was too busy testing my abilities and trying to keep my involuntary absorption under control. And for good reason, I succeeded, though not quite as I had expected.

First of all, I was finally convinced of my limits. I didn't measure the force of the impact, of course, since I don't have such equipment, but I'm sure it's not small. Basically I checked the strength and amount of radiation I could absorb. Since I didn't know Roshtain's limits, it's hard to say where my strength was cut down from the original. I could increase up to sixteen meters, the energy consumption was monstrous, but the strength matched it. In order to stay that way for ten minutes, I had to absorb half of the radioactive waste that was stored in the place where Roshtain had come to recharge in canon. Of course it was worth it, in this form my power is incredible. Flash? Ha, beating him wouldn't be a problem at all. With that kind of power, I could destroy an entire city. But I don't think that's gonna be possible in ten minutes. And I can use weather powers and just drown the city, so it doesn't require physical power. All in all, the strength, the speed, was good. Combined with my other abilities, I was like a titan of legend. Smaller in stature, but I could control the weather, teleport, that power was amazing. Plus, even though I was huge, I wasn't clumsy. True slower than usual, but that wasn't a big deal. With my reactions and instincts, I could really be awfully strong in this form. But unfortunately it wouldn't be for long. If I can hold this state for ten minutes, that's still not bad, but don't forget about the enemies. They'll attack and I'll get weaker, and ten minutes will turn into five, maybe even less. So don't rely too much on the power of the Atomic Destroyer. I have an idea of how I could use it more often, though. For example, I could build some sort of small nuclear reactor and charge up there. In canon, that's the thing that killed the Destroyer, so if I can get it, I can recharge.

I absorbed all the radiation at the recycling station, but never reached my limits. There was still one place in the city, so I went there. After that, I checked my strength again, basically nothing had changed. The height was the same as the strength. It was frustrating, but my size was something I could maintain for longer. That meant I just needed more radiation, that's all. The more of it, the better for me. So the idea of that Roshtayn trap wasn't a bad one. If I had one, I would always be able to be charged up and use my super strength at the right moment. But it would be even better if I could carry something like a serum with a huge amount of radiation or something like that. Maybe not even a serum, but some kind of portable nuclear power plant. Sounds crazy, but in this world, anything's possible. If there was such a thing, I could always use that power.

Well, that's all well and good. But what I've gained is a greater understanding of my powers. Of course I couldn't control the involuntary absorption of radiation, but I could find another way. The method was simple, not only could I absorb radiation, but I could control it in my body. It's impossible in the external environment, of course, but when it's inside me, I can control it. I could slow down its burning as well as its absorption rate. This method didn't completely block my problem. But it had one advantage, the more I had already absorbed, the more I could slow down the absorption. If I was completely "fed up" so to speak, I could slow down the absorption to a bearable level. After that, I needed to stay more than two days in one place for the radiation in the neighborhood to disappear. There are a lot of places in the world where the radiation background is slightly lower than other places. So it won't raise suspicion. Plus, I will install special equipment at the base that will generate as much radiation as I absorb. That will mean I won't be able to be detected that way at all. If Hartley can install that equipment in the suit, then I'll be completely free of that problem.

I spent the next couple days doing company business. I also commissioned Hartley to build me a radiation recharge chamber. He agreed and said it wouldn't take long. Turns out he'd done one before, when he was at Star Labs. That made me realize whose trap had been used on Roshtayn back then. As for a portable "charger" for me, Hartley didn't come up with anything good. He said that it's quite difficult to implement, but he'll think about a solution. The equipment for the base he will also make, he said that it is not difficult at all. But there might be malfunctions, so it's better for ordinary people not to be there. I didn't mind, I don't need anyone there. He also suggested another method of defense. Create plugs and no one will simply not be able to scan anything in the area where my territory is located. But that project would take time and money, so we put it off for now. It's safe enough for now, so we can hold off on that...

Upon returning home for the first time in a long time and getting comfortable to rest, I was immediately interrupted.

«Ah, what the fuck else is there.... - I put my beer on the glass table and walked over to the computer. I knew right away. There was a Sand Demon in town, and what's more, he'd kidnapped a girl. She was pretty nice... Hmm, well, why not? Drinking beer in front of the TV's pretty boring anyway. I killed Mardon, and I think he killed her father. I got files on every cop in the precinct, including her. Quite an interesting person, if I can get my own man in the station, it could be good. I killed her father's killer, maybe that'll help with future cooperation. She's just a cop, but she could be useful. Barry and his new friend are supposed to save her, unfortunately I'm gonna have to beat them to it. Getting the Sand Demon's DNA would be useful...
