"Little Jia, what brings you here?" Ye Chen paused for a moment.
"I saw the lights on at your place, so I came to see if you were back."
"Oh, haha, couldn't resist missing me?" Ye Chen chuckled.
He Jia blushed: "Not at all!"
Ye Chen let He Jia into the room.
He Jia had just taken a shower, her hair still damp, giving off a light fragrance.
With a single man and woman alone in a room, the atmosphere was highly ambiguous.
"Ye Chen, thank you for saving our company from going bankrupt. Let me treat you to dinner tomorrow."
"No problem, give me a call tomorrow."
Ye Chen glanced downstairs and saw a woman in her fifties pacing anxiously.
He couldn't help but laugh.
"Did your mom send you to find me?" Ye Chen asked.
He Jia blushed again: "Yeah, I originally wanted to call and invite you to dinner, but my mom insisted that if I didn't come, she would come herself."
Ye Chen was speechless; are mothers-in-law that aggressive these days?
